Salvini: I Asked The Prime Minister To Intervene To Halt Migrant Influx.

Rome, Leader of Northern League, a partner in the ruling coalition Matteo Salvini has said that he had asked the Prime Minister Mario Draghi to intervene to stop the migrant boats across the Mediterranean to southern coasts of the country.

The Italian Aki news agency quoted Salvini as saying, after a meeting he held with Draghi on Thursday, that he had asked Draghi and the competent minister to intervene, indicating that the scale of the migrant flow had tripled compared tolast year. More than 18000 migrants have already arrived in spite of the Covid 19, he said.

Salvini stressed that it was a security and social problem, and that Italy could not be a destination for traffickers and illegal arrivals.

‘We need a serious intervention, we do not think of a migrant landing summer, he said.

The Undersecretary Of The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs And International Cooperation For Political Affairs Receives The Ambassador Of The Democratic Republic Of Korea On The Occasion Of The End Of His Duties In Libya.

Tripoli, The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Political Affairs (Mohammed Khalil Issa) received today, Thursday, the Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (Choi Sung-soo) on the occasion of the end of his duties to the State of Libya.

The Korean ambassador expressed his thanks and gratitude to all ministries and institutions for the assistance and facilities provided to him during his tenure by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and other agencies.

The ambassador also expressed his country’s support for the positive developments in the Libyan track and the formation of the national unity government, wishing to lay the foundations for security, stability and prosperity in Libya.

President Of Presidency Council Meets Head Of Egyptian Intelligence.

Tripoli, President of Presidency Council Mohamed Al Mnefi met on Thursday the Head of Intelligence in Egypt Abbas Kamel.

The sides discussed activation of the Libyan-Egyptian Joint Committee and upgrading exchange between thw two countries in all areas.

Kamel conveyed compliments of Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Alsisi to the Presidency Council, the Government and the Libyan people.

The President of Presidency Council lauded the positive role of Egypt in promoting national reconciliation in Libya, asserting that the relationship between Libya and Egypt was historical, and Egypt’s security and that of Libya are one.

The President urged the return of Egyptian companies to contribute to the reconstruction process, and cooperation in the energy sector and support for national reconciliation.

He invited President to visit Libya as soon as possible.

GNU Minister Of Employment Discuss Bilateral Cooperation With Egyptian Minister Of Labour.

Cairo, GNU Minister of Employment Ali Al Abed has discussed with Egyptian Minister of Labour Mohamed Sa’afan a number of issues including facilitating movement of labour in line with regulations enforces in both countries.

There was an emphasis, during the meeting held in Cairo, on expediting work of the technical committee assigned with electronic link between the two ministries, and setting up of an emergency room regarding return of workers and how to deal with emergencies.

Possible return of Egyptian companies and workers to Libya to take part in the reconstruction process was discussed at the meeting.
