Libyan Doctors General Syndicate Calls On All Out-Patient Clinics In Hospitals To Close As Of Sunday.

Tripoli, Libyan Doctors General Syndicate has called for closure of all out-patient clinics in public hospitals as of Sunday June 6 and for a week.

The syndicate called, in a statement posted to its SMS page, on all doctors and medical professionals to adhere to a general strike, and to not to listen to what has been circulated by hospitals administrators caring for their posts.

The sub-syndicates are the ones which declare a strike and the objectives, not the hospital’s administration or department, and those who think they hold the decision to strike are wrong, the syndicate said.

The perception of disobedience or strike is an expression of anger against the government for a particular decision, dereliction or negligence, it said.
