SDRPY Launches Two Development Projects to Support Yemen’s Health Sector

Aden, The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) today launched two development projects to support the health sector in the Republic of Yemen.

One project is laying the foundation stone for constructing and equipping a rehabilitation centre in Aden Governorate for children with disabilities, which will, directly and indirectly, benefit 7,840 beneficiaries. The second project supports emergency and critical medical services in six Yemeni governorates: Aden, Lahij, Abyan, Taiz, Shabwah, and Al-Dhale.

The construction and equipment of the rehabilitation centre for children with disabilities are part of SDRPY’s efforts to support various segments of society and its commitment to comprehensive sustainable development programs and initiatives. The project also entails the delivery of 15 ambulances to enhance the capabilities of centres and hospitals in the Yemeni governorates and to bolster the overall health sector.

The rehabilitation centre for children aims to facilitate the effective
integration of children with disabilities into society, provide them with treatment and rehabilitation services, and enhance their mental, cognitive, and motor skills.
