Saudi, Kuwaiti Foreign Ministers Co-Chair 2nd Meeting of the Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council


Kuwait: The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, co-chaired today, at the headquarters of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kuwait, the second meeting of the Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council.

During his speech at the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that the Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council reflects the interest paid by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Amir Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah of the State of Kuwait in pushing relations to wider horizons in order to achieve the aspirations of the two countries. He emphasized the importance of the coordination council and its committees as an effective platform and institutional tool that frames the work of the two countries, looking forward to exerting all efforts to make the council’s outputs a tangible reality.

Then, the two ministers signed the minutes of the seco
nd meeting of the Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council.

A joint cooperation program was also signed between the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies and the Sheikh Soud Nasser Al-Sabah Kuwait Diplomatic Institute. Additionally, two memorandums of understanding between the two governments were signed: the first on the mutual recognition of seafarers’ certificates and the second in the field of technical cooperation for the protection and preservation of the environment.
