Jeddah: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) launched the “Rasd-4” exercise today to enhance readiness for this year’s Hajj season 1445 AH. The exercise involves several concerned authorities engaged in Hajj.
It aims to prepare for severe weather phenomena and high temperatures, test reporting mechanisms, ensure clarity and timely arrival of reports, evaluate the results, and draw lessons to improve emergency preparedness.
The exercise is geared towards enhancing public safety, protecting property, improving the ability to efficiently deal with emergency weather conditions, enhancing response and coordination between stakeholders, and developing plans and procedures to improve readiness for the future.
