Morocco’s Central Bank Cuts its Key Rate to 2.75%


Rabat – The Board Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM), meeting on Tuesday in Rabat, decided to reduce the key interest rate by 25 basis points (bps) to 2.75%.

“After keeping the key rate unchanged for four consecutive meetings, it decided to reduce it by 25 basis points to 2.75%,” the central ban said in a statement on its Board’s 2nd quarterly meeting of 2024.

According to the same source, the Board will continue to closely monitor economic and inflationary developments at both national and international levels.
