Imams of the Two Holy Mosques Join Fatwa Chair to Enhance Pilgrims’ Experience

Madinah: The Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque today launched an initiative involving the participation of the esteemed Imams of the Two Holy Mosques in the Fatwa Chair.

The initiative aims to enrich the experience of pilgrims, enhance programs for answering inquiries, and activate the moderate religious message of the Imams beyond the mihrab and pulpit.

President of religious affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, launched the initiative at the Prophet’s Mosque, involving the Imams of the Prophet’s Mosque in receiving and answering questions related to Hajj and visiting the Prophet’s Mosque, based on evidence from the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

This coincided with the arrival of pilgrims for the 1445 AH Hajj season to perform the fifth pillar of Islam.

He emphasized that the wise leadership’s directives encourage exerting efforts, raising morale, and dedicating oneself to elevating and spreading the religious message
of the Two Holy Mosques worldwide.

He added that it aims to serve pilgrims and utilize all resources to facilitate the performance of their rituals.

Moreover, Sheikh Dr. Al-Sudais indicated that central to achieving these important goals is deepening the religious message of the Imams of the Two Holy Mosques and expanding their roles from the mihrab and pulpit to include scholarly chairs, scientific lessons, participating in issuing fatwas, and answering religious inquiries.

This enriches the experience of the pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque by clarifying the rituals of Hajj and Umrah and the etiquette of the visit, he noted.
