Norwegian Minister of Diplomacy reiterates to Al-Manqoush her country’s full commitment to support stability in Libya

New York- Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Najla Al-Mangoush met Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Anniken Hoetfeldt, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.

The meeting focused on current challenges,  the latest political developments in Libya  and other issues of common interest, where Al-Mangoush renewed her rejection of any measures and operations that would destabilize the capital ,stressing that the Government of National Unity has strategic and comprehensive plans to achieve stability in the country ,and is preparing to hold the national elections within a specified date.

With regard to the file of combating illegal immigration, Al-Mangoush reiterated that Libya is transit country for migrants and not their final destination ,stressing the need for continued support and joint work with EU, especially on this area.

For her part,  the Norwegian Minister renewed her country’s full commitment to supporting peace and stability efforts in Libya, and continue to work together in several areas and issues of concern to the two friendly countries.

Through diplomatic methods :Libya and America discuss the strategic relations between the two countries

New York-GNU Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Najla Al-Manqoush met  US Assistant Secretary of State for Near East Affairs Barbara I Leaf, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.

According to the Ministry’s SMS Page ,the two sides discussed strategic relation between the two friendly countries and joint efforts to enhance stability in Libya. The US official reiterated her country’s support for the international position in support of national elections ,as the only solution for the political crisis to achieve the aspirations of Libyan people.

Al Mnefi and Al Mangoush open consultative meeting of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the Arab States participating in the works of the United Nations General Assembly

  New York-President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Al Mnefi, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, Najla Al-Mangoush, on Monday inaugurated the consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers participating in the works of the United Nations General Assembly, at the headquarters of the Libyan Mission in New York. According to the Presidential Council Communication Office, Al Mnefi stressed, in the opening remarks the need to strengthen mechanisms of joint action and coordinate Arab positions on the most pressing issues in the region.

 For its part, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity said on its official website that the meeting discussed coordination process on the most important topics on the agenda of the current session of the General Assembly, to ensure support for Arab issues, especially the Palestinian cause.

The Presidential Representative (Abdullah Al-Lafi) discusses with the wise men and notables of the south the difficulties that hinder the provision of services to citizens

Tripoli- Deputy President of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, met today, Monday, with a number of dignitaries and wise men in the southern region, to discuss many issues, especially illegal immigration and the provision of services, and ways to activate various state institutions in the south.

The meeting, which was held in the office of the Presidential Council, discussed the problems and difficulties that hinder the provision of services to citizens in the cities of the south, activating the role of government departments and governorates, and reducing centralization, so that all the competent state agencies and institutions can perform their role in the southern regions.

Al-Lafi stressed the importance of the competent executive authorities solving the problems and difficulties that hinder the provision of services to citizens in the south as soon as possible, praising the role of the dignitaries and wise men of the southern region in contributing to the success of the national reconciliation project.

He called on the dignitaries and wise men of the importance of paying attention to the south, reiterating their full support for the Presidential Council, to implement the national reconciliation project to achieve stability and peace in the country, and to reach the electoral benefits that all Libyans aspire to.

GNA Minister of Economy and Trade discusses mechanism of setting standards and methodological foundations for the credit rating of local insurance companies

Tripoli, September 19, 2022 (WALL) – Minister of Economy and Trade Mohamed Al-Hawij held a meeting on Sunday attended by the Director General of the Insurance Supervisory Authority (AAA), the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Credit Rating Company, and the Director General of the International Islamic Agency for Credit Ratings.

Problems facing the work in the classification of insurance companies in Libya were discussed during the meeting, which also discussed a mechanism of developing criteria and methodological foundations, in line with local employment policy as a start to the possibility of classifying these companies. It was agreed on the continuation of joint cooperation by conducting workshops and sessions to raise the level of services.

Al-Mangoush arrives in New York for the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly

New York-GNU Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Najla Al-Mangoush arrived Sunday in New York for the launch of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

   Foreign Ministry sources said that on the sidelines of the General Assembly, Al Mangoush will hold a number of meetings with a number of foreign ministers and United Nations officials. Al-Mangoush also to participate in a number of events that will be held within the framework of the works of the United Nations General Assembly.
