Bahrain table tennis achievements outcome of leaders’ support: BTTA President

Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Bahrain Table Tennis Association (BTTA) Chairperson, has affirmed that the outstanding achievements attained by the Bahrain national table tennis teams in the Arab Table Tennis Championship, held in Iraq from July 28 to August 4, are the outcome of the constant care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the unwavering support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Shaikha Hayat indicated that the interest and support of Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman, as well as those of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, have contributed significantly to Bahraini athletes’ honourable accomplishments.

She also paid tribute to the officials of the General Sports Authority and the Bahrain Olympic Committee for their constant follow-up and support for the national teams.

BTTA President asserted that the successes of the national teams in bagging as many as 16 medals, including 5 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze ones at the Arab Table Tennis Championship, confirms the steady progress of table tennis in Bahrain.

She commended the tremendous efforts exerted by Bahraini table tennis players during the Arab tournament, expressing pride in their landmark achievements.

Saudi Arabian Football Federation Opens Registration for Non-Saudi Players

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation has decided to open the list of the Roshn Saudi League clubs (during registration periods) to non-Saudi players without upper limits, only through the registration systems accredited by the federation, with the non-Saudi professional players to be determined within the permissible limit of 8 players via the electronic system of the Saudi Pro League (SPLIS), during the deadline set on September 15th.

The decision aims to provide a better opportunity for clubs and players during the transfer period and to enhance the role of the Roshn League in organizing and managing the competition through the relevant regulations set forth by the board of the Saudi Pro League.

Bahrain Esports team 1st and 5th in Asian Championship

The Bahrain Esports Federation (BESF) team won the second and fifth places at the Asian Games 2023 FIFA Online 4 tournaments.

Hussain Al Kooheji, BESF President, expressed pride in the achievements of players in various Esports, which are continuously supported by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Highness the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), and followed-up by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of SCYS, General Sports Authority (GSA).

Al Kooheji praised the Bahraini Esports team and its players Abdulaziz Abdullatif Faqihi, Rashid Khaled Al Ruwaihi, and coach Mohammad Khaled Al Ruwaihi, for their contribution to Bahrain and Federation’s success in the international arena.

The Players’ Status and Transfers Committee of the Football Association discusses the process of developing new regulations and policies

The newly formed players’ status and transfers committee of the Bahraini Football Association held its first meeting, headed by Abdulredha Haqiqi, a member of the Bahrain Football Association’s Board of Directors.

The meeting reviewed the details of the player’s statuses and transfers.

The committee members inlcude Khaled Buqais, vice chairman of the committee; Ali Mayoof; Mohammed Buabjal; Abdullah Al Fardan; Mahmood Najim and rapporteur Saad Al Isa.

Saudi Arabia to Host Saudi International Para Table Tennis Championship 2023

The Kingdom is set to host the Saudi International Paralympic Table Tennis Championship in 2023. This prestigious event is organized under the supervision of the International Table Tennis Federation and in collaboration with the Saudi Table Tennis Federation. The championship will take place from August 8th to 10th and will witness the participation of 154 male and female athletes representing 16 countries.

The teams representing Saudi Arabia, Egypt, India, Syria, Iraq, Japan, Algeria, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Turkey, Slovakia, Georgia, Cameroon, Poland, Russia, and Nigeria have officially confirmed their participation in this historic championship. It marks the first time that the event will be held internationally in the Kingdom, with the support of the International Table Tennis Federation. The tournament will be hosted at the prestigious Ministry of Sports Hall in Riyadh.
