Foreign Minister Meets British Ambassador On Farewell Visit To The Ministry.

Tripoli, Foreign Minister Najla Al Mangoush met at the Ministry’s headquarters on Monday Nicholas Hopton, who is ending his assignment as the British Ambassador to Libya.

The Ambassador said he appreciated the good treatment and working relationships he developed with Libyan officials during his assignment.

The meeting was a chance to discuss issues of common interest, particularly developments in Libya under an executive authority that serves all regions in the country.

The meeting also dealt with the Berlin 1and 2 outcome, the Political Dialogue Forum and holding the elections on set time.

Member Of Presidency Council And Prime Minister Attend Opening Of Tripoli’s Festival Of Libyan Folklore.

Tripoli, Member of the Presidential Council, “Abdullah Al-Lafi”, accompanied by the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, “Abdul Hamid Dabaiba,” attended last night at Al-Khald Palace in the capital, Tripoli, the opening ceremony of the Tripoli Festival Folklore organized by the Ministry of Culture, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of liberating the capital. In his speech, a member of the Presidential Council stressed the importance of cultural and artistic values in raising the national spirit and promoting a culture of national reconciliation through the message of culture and arts in its various components.

For his part, Prime Minister Abdel Hamid al-Dabaiba praised in his speech on the occasion the organization of this event in preserving the cultural heritage and this authentic Libyan art.

Foreign Minister Discuss With Maltese Ambassador Granting Entry Visas For Libyan Nationals And Opening Airspace Between Two Countries.

Tripoli, Foreign and International Cooperation Minister Najla Al Mangoush discussed with Ambassador of Malta here on Tuesday granting entry visas for Libyan nationals and accelerating the re-opening of the airspace and return of flights between the two countries.

The meeting also focused on latest developments in Libya, whereby the Minister told the Ambassador that things were going to the better, especially with a government that represents all Libyans and serves their interests, up to the forthcoming elections on Dec.24.

The Ambassador said his country was prepared to help make the elections a success.

Member Of Presidency Council ‘Al Lafi’ Meets Two Members Of Parliament.

Tripoli, Member of Presidency Council Abdullah Al Lafi met in the capital on Monday Rabiya Buras Member of Parliament Defence and National Security Committee and member of Parliament Fatima Al Swei.

The meeting focused on national security-related issues, including unifying the Military, enact of transitional justice laws and national reconciliation.

The MPs briefed the Member on the work of the committee in regard to defence and national security file.

Head Of Government Of National Unity Receives Algerian Ambassador.

Tripoli, Head of Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba met Wednesday afternoon Algerian Ambassador to Libya Kamal Al Jarrari.

According to the Government Communication Office, Al Dbeiba expressed to the Algerian Ambassador his sorrow for large number of deaths of the Algerian Military, who died fighting the fires which erupted in the country, and asked him to convey his condolences to the President and the Algerian people and solidarity of his own and the Libyan people to the Algerian people in these difficult conditions.

The Ministers Of Foreign Affairs Of Bahrain And Germany Renew Their Support For The Government Of National Unity.

Berlin, Bahraini Foreign Minister “Abdullatif Al-Zayani” renewed the call for the international community to support the national unity government and the need for all foreign fighters and mercenaries to leave Libya.

This came during a joint press conference held by “Al-Zayani” with his German counterpart “Heiko Maas” today, Wednesday, following a session of joint official talks, in the presence of two delegations from the two countries in the German capital, Berlin, according to what the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on its website.

Al-Zayani affirmed his country’s support for the efforts of the international community to create the necessary conditions for holding the elections on time, on the 24th of next December.

Al-Zayani expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s appreciation for the active and constructive role of the friendly Federal Republic of Germany in the Middle East, noting that the peoples of the Middle East have suffered greatly and for a long period of insecurity and stability, expressing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pride in working and coordinating with the Republic of Germany in providing support and hope to the peoples of Region.

He also praised the efforts of the Federal Republic of Germany in hosting the Berlin 1 and Berlin 2 conferences to resolve the Libyan crisis.
