Al-Mangoush discusses with delegation of Russian Foreign Ministry Return of Russian Embassy to work from Tripoli and consulate from Benghazi.

Tripoli, GNA Foreign Minister Najla Al Mangoush met on Wednesday with Molotkov Deputy Director of the Middle East department at the Russian Foreign Ministry and his delegation.

Al Mangoush and Molotkov discussed, at the meeting held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli, return of the Russian embassy to work from Tripoli and the consulate from Benghazi.

The meeting also touched on withdrawal of mercenaries from the country, with the two sides expressing support for efforts and steps taken by the 5+5 Commission in this regard, including the meeting to be held by the Commission in Moscow today.

The Russian delegation expressed his country’s full support for the government of National Unity’s efforts to achieve stability throughout Libya, and his country’s desire to develop and strengthen cooperation in all areas, in the interests of the peoples of the two friendly countries.

The commander of the Sirte and Al-Jufra operations room discusses with the British ambassador the latest military and political developments.

Misurata, The commander of the Sirte and Jufrah operations room, Major General “Ibrahim Bait Al-Mal”, met today, Tuesday, with the British Ambassador to Libya, “Caroline Hurndall”, and the military attache of the British Embassy in Libya, Colonel “Mark Baffin”.

The Sirte and Al-Jufra Operations Room said on its Facebook page that the meeting discussed military and political developments related to the chamber’s affairs.

Acting Speaker of HoR: The House of Representatives is in the process of setting a date for a session to discuss latest developments in electoral process.

Tobruk, The acting Speaker of the House of Representatives Fawzi Al-Nuwairi, confirmed that the parliament is in the process of setting a date for holding a session and providing all the requirements for the representatives to attend it.

Al-Nuwairi said in a statement issued on Sunday that a number of parliament members had submitted a request to hold the session, during which the latest developments in the electoral process would be discussed.

Al-Nuwari added that the presidency of the House is in continuous communication with members, the High National Elections Commission, the Presidential Council and the Supreme Judicial Council.

MPs Demand Parliament Convene Meeting in Tobruk.

Tobruk, A number of members of the House of Representatives have called on parliament office to call for meeting on Monday, December 6, at its headquarters in Tobruk, and invite the Head of the High National Electionl Commission and representatives of the institutions supervising the security and judicial process to attend the session.

In a statement issued yesterday, the members called on the Commission not to announce the final list of candidates until after the meeting, so that Parliament could assess the situation of the electoral process in accordance with the passed legislations.

In their statement, the members reiterated their commitment to Libya’s sovereignty and unity and civil peace before December 24th by conducting a legal, free, fair and credible electoral process.
