Head of Government of National Unity participates in celebration in Martyrs’ Square on the occasion of Prophet’s Birthday.

Tripoli, The Head of Government of National Unity, “Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba and a number of ministers yesterday took part in celebration in Martyrs’ Square on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday.

The celebrations started from Algeria Square with chants, recitation of the personal biography of the Prophet Mohamed, Peace be upon Him.

The Sufi zawiyas groups, accompanied by the large crowd, marched to the Martyrs’ Square, chanting songs in tribute of the blessed life and message of Mohamed bin Abdullah, expressing their joy at the birth of the Noble Prophet.

Families and their children greeted these groups with incense, perfume, as they chanted religious supplications and the biography of the Prophet.

After Meeting Al Mangoush in Luxemburg Hungarian Foreign minister Urges EU to Assist Libya to Combat Irregular Migration.

Luxemburg, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó demanded, following a meeting with Libyan Foreign Minister Najla Al Mangoush here that the EU offer assistance to Libya, to enable it to protect its southern borders against irregular migration, saying Libya has become a transit state for thousands of irregular migrants seeking to reach Europe, according to the ‘Hungary Today’ newspaper.

The head of the Hungarian Diplomacy called for a sound financial package to enhance control over Libya’s southern borders, and expressed his country’s support for the forthcoming elections in Libya, which he described as ‘a chance to restore peace and stability.’

He criticized NGOs and human rights groups which ‘try to prevent the Libyan Government combating irregular migration, as he put it

President of High State Council meets President of the Supreme Council of Libyan notables and wise men.

Tripoli, The President of the High Council of State, Khaled Al-Mashri, met Monday in Tripoli, the head of the Supreme Council of Notables and Elders of Libya, Mr. Ali Jabouda and a number of council members.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed the latest developments in the work of the Supreme Council of Notables and Elders of Libya, the latest of which was the meeting of the General Assembly of the Council and ways to support its work.

The delegation of the Council of Notables and Elders of Libya confirmed that its position coincides with the position of the High Council of State regarding holding the elections on their date on December 24, provided that they are based on a sound and agreed constitutional basis.

President of the Presidential Council meets civil society institutions in Tobruk

Tripoli, The President of the Presidential Council, “Mohamed Al-Manfi” met today, Saturday, with all civil society organizations in Tobruk, to discuss the role of community institutions in supporting the political process and the success of the national reconciliation project in Libya.

The meeting also touched on the needs of the city of Tobruk, taking care of it in all aspects, and establishing projects that serve the city in the aspects of health, education, and attention to the segment of people with protests.

The meeting also discussed efforts to empower the role of women in all institutions, activate the role of security, and the need for civil society organizations to participate in the national reconciliation project, to unite Libyans and bring together the political parties.

In turn, the President of the Presidential Council stressed the need to activate the role of civil society institutions to establish the desired civil state, and their effective contribution to the benefits of the next phase, leading to the presidential and parliamentary elections at the end of this year.

The Arab League approves Dr. Iman Al-Fitouri as head of the Libya mission.

Tripoli, The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States approved the credentials of Dr. Iman Al-Fitouri as deputy representative of Libya, head of the Libyan diplomatic mission.

In a congratulatory cable sent by the Arab League to the Libyan delegation, the General Secretariat expressed its sincere greetings and appreciation to the delegation on this occasion.

It is noteworthy that Ambassador Iman Muhammad Al-Fitouri, is the Deputy Representative of Libya to the League of Arab States, before the adoption of her position

Prime Minister calls for disavowal of differences and reaffirms government’s services will include all cities.

Zintan, The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba expressed his happiness at his presence and the ministers accompanying him in the city of Zintan to listen to the city’s needs and requirements in all aspects of life.

In a speech he delivered on the occasion of this visit, Al-Dabaiba stressed that it is necessary to provide job opportunities and exploit the capabilities of young people for the benefit of the region, as well as the participation of women by providing a number of spatial services in the mountain area.

He added that the area needs services with regard to infrastructure and water, a problem that the population has suffered for a long time, announcing the initiation of digging a number of wells in the city, in addition to providing potable water in the mountain area in general.

Al-Dabaiba also announced the start of providing capabilities, supplies and equipment for Zintan Airport to be able to provide services to the western mountain regions. In his speech, Al-Dabaiba explained that health facilities will find interest through the establishment of a hospital that provides health services to all areas of the mountain. He also announced the launch of work on the implementation of the road linking the city of Zintan with a number of neighboring regions, stressing that these services will be implemented by the government in all cities and regions throughout Libya without exception.

Al-Dabaiba from the city of Zintan called on all Libyan citizens across the country to work, collaborate and cooperate, noting that the services would include citizens from Al-Bardi to Zaltan and to the south, stressing what some are trying to do to divide our country will not succeed and that maintaining the unity of Libya is our concern and that Calls for war and division are gone forever.

In his speech, Dabaiba stressed not to return to differences between the people of the same country, and that our guns will not be directed at each other after today. He said that we should direct our attention to plans for development, construction and reconstruction, providing services to our people in all parts of the country, helping those affected by wars and diseases, and conquering backwardness and keeping pace with the world that has progressed as we go backwards. He added, “We have to think about the future and build our institutions, and let’s start immediately building and reconstructing every inch of our land and we share and our motto is tolerance and spreading the spirit of reconciliation and driving our country to safety.”
