KSrelief’s Refresher League in Jordan’s Zaatari Camp Concludes


Amman, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), and the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) concluded the refresher league held at Zaatari camp in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

The three sides concluded the training program in the camp after the end of the class C coach training course for 19 male trainers, delivered by WAFF and SAFF lecturers Khalid Al-Atwi and Mohammed Abd Al-Jawad.

The program also involved a class D training course that included 27 female trainers, presented by lecturers Tatiana Khalil and Sahar Dbouk from the Saudi and Asian federations.

Several refresher leagues were held at the SAFF pitch in the camp for 15 and 11-year-old competitors, besides another league for players above 50.

The refresher league was concluded in the presence of director of the KSrelief branch in Jordan Nayef Al-Shammari, SAFF board of directors member Nazih Al-Nasr, and WAFF secretary-general Khalil Al-Salem.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad honours top students


Manama, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), visited Al Taawon Secondary School for Boys.

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS, Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), was present.

Their Highnesses were received by Dr. Mohammed Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayyed, Secretary General of the SCYS, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, and Dr. Abdulrahman bin Sadiq Askar, CEO of the GSA.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser hailed the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for advancing education, as a key pillar of development.

nistry of Education for its efforts.

His Highness urged the students to participate in the global sports programme at IMG academy in Florida, USA.

The Minister of Education emphasised the pride in the inspiring role of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad for young people in sports and the follow-up of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad that had a great impact on encouraging promising sports talents.

Then, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad honoured the top achievers students athletically and academically: Hassan Habib Ali, Hadi Mahdi Ahmed, and Hussain Zuhair Al Hubail.

EWA signs agreement with Etihad Esco


Manama, The Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) in Bahrain has announced a partnership agreement with Etihad Energy Services Company (Etihad ESCO), a subsidiary of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). The primary objective of this collaboration is the successful implementation of the Kafa’a (efficiency) programme, as a vital step towards establishing an ESCO (Energy Services Company) in Bahrain.

The Kafa’a programme aims to reduce electricity consumption in buildings with high consumption, in the public and private sectors, in partnership with Energy Service Companies (ESCOs).

Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, President of EWA, reiterated the Authority’s commitment to its strategic plan towards improving energy efficiency and reducing electricity consumption with the aim of reducing its carbon emissions in a way that contributes to achieving carbon neutrality by the year 2060.

The President noted that the Kafa’a programme aims to reduce electricity consumption in high-consumption buildings in the public
and private sectors in the kingdom by benefiting from energy services companies. This will contribute to raising efficiency and reducing consumption.

He added that cooperating with Etihad ESCO will help implement the Kafa’a programme and achieve its goals, adding that the company has 11 years of experience in improving energy efficiency, having implemented a similar programme in hundreds of buildings in Dubai.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, CEO of DEWA, expressed appreciation for the partnership with EWA, seeing it as a valuable addition for both entities. He further affirmed that the company would enhance the partnership by providing advisory services to implement energy efficient solutions in buildings, reducing energy costs and supporting EWA’s strategic goals.

JEDCO Adopts Operational Plan at King Abdulaziz Airport for Upcoming Hajj Season


Jeddah, Jeddah Airports Company (JEDCO) announced the approval of the operational plan and the readiness of all facilities and three lounges at King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) to serve approximately 1.2 million pilgrims during the Hajj season in 1445 Hijri.

This comes as an extension of the ongoing efforts undertaken by JEDCO in collaboration with more than 27 governmental and private entities to provide the best services to the guests of Allah, facilitate their journey to perform their rituals, and enrich their experience, achieving the targets of the Saudi Vision 2030 programs.

JEDCO chief executive Mazen Johar stated that the operational plan for the Hajj season of 1445 Hijri aligns with all operational and security requirements aimed at the safety and comfort of pilgrims arriving through KAIA.

It also complies with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which mandate providing all fac
ilities and means of comfort to receive the guests of Allah, Johar noted.

“The operational plan will be implemented starting from the first day of Dhu Al-Qa’dah with the arrival of the first flights until the arrival of all pilgrims. It includes the operation of all airport lounges — Lounge 1, the North Lounge, and the Hajj and Umrah lounges complex in the common arrival and departure manner throughout the season to meet the demand from other categories of travelers,’ the JEDCO chief said.

He highlighted that the three lounges include more than 411 passport control stations, 440 baggage-receiving stations, 56 movable bridge gates, 54 customs inspection devices, 29 baggage-claim belts upon arrival, 28 bus gates, 4 health centers, and two platforms for group baggage.

He further indicated that the number of employees at KAIA during peak times would reach around 16,000 staff from various government, security, and operational sectors working at the airport to serve the guests of Allah and facilitate their proc
edures during their spiritual journey.

Transport Minister Welcomes First Batch of Indian Pilgrims Arriving in Madinah


Madinah, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser received the first batch of pilgrims arriving from India today. The 283 pilgrims arrived on a Saudia Airlines flight.

Al-Jasser reiterated the transport and logistics sector’s unwavering commitment to serving pilgrims. He emphasized that this dedication stems from directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to ensure the Kingdom’s guests have a smooth and fulfilling Hajj experience, departing for their homeland with the highest standards of comfort and safety.

Elaborating on preparations, Al-Jasser highlighted the extensive resources deployed. These include 7,700 flights operating across six airports and over 27,000 buses designated to facilitate pilgrim movement throughout their spiritual journey.

Pilgrims can utilize the Haramain High-Speed Railway and the Al-Mashaaer Al-Mugaddassah Metro
Line; with over 5,000 trips during the Hajj season, pilgrims can efficiently complete their rituals.

Muslim World League Condemns Attack on UNRWA


Makkah, The Muslim World League (MWL) has condemned, in the strongest terms, the savage attack carried out by Israeli settlers on the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) in occupied Jerusalem.

In a statement by the Secretariat General, MWL Secretary-General, and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa held the occupation forces accountable for repeating these crimes committed against innocent civilians and workers in humanitarian and relief organizations. He called on the international community to take serious and effective action to stop these crimes and the continuous violations of all international and humanitarian laws in the Palestinian territories.
