Korea’s Protocol Director General receives credentials of Bahrain’s new ambassador


Seo Won Sam, the Director General for Protocol Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Korea, received a copy of the credentials from Saud Hassan Ali Al Nusuf, the newly appointed Ambassador of Bahrain to Korea.

The Director General commended the relations between Bahrain and Korea, expressing pride in the growing cooperation across various fields. He wished the ambassador success in his new diplomatic post.

For his part, Ambassador Al Nusuf emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening relations with Korea to serve common interests.

Speaker affirms support for economic Bahrain-Brazil partnerships


The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) held a meeting in Brasilia. The meeting was co-chaired by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Tamer Mansour, the Secretary General of ABCC and Ali El Zoghbi, the Vice President of the Union of Islamic Institutions in Brazil.

The meeting was attended by Bader Abbas Al Hulaibi, Bahraini Ambassador to Brazil, and delegation members including MP Zainab Abdulameer Khalil, Deputy Chairman of the Delegation and Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee; MP Abdulhakim Mohammad Al Shino; MP Jalal Kadhim Hassan; MP Ahmed Al Salloom; and MP Hassan Ibrahim Hassan.

The Speaker commended the robust relations between Bahrain and Brazil, highlighting shared interests in various fields. He reiterated the commitment to enhancing economic partnerships and cooperation across all areas, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khal
ifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Speaker Al Musallam emphasised the council’s commitment to strengthening economic partnerships and increasing trade between the two nations, which reached $1.5 billion last year. He highlighted Bahrain’s advanced legislative and economic framework, the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, and the attractive investment opportunities across sectors such as food security, agriculture, tourism, and industry.

The Speaker stated that the meeting provided an excellent opportunity to develop economic cooperation between Bahrain and Brazil.

The visit produced many positive outcomes, which will be further advanced through joint efforts to implement cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding, benefiting both countries, he said.

For his part, Tamer Mansour, Secretary General of ABCC, expressed pride in the distinguished relations between Brazil and Bahrain and highlighted the progress in various fields. He emphasised the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in supporti
ng coordination efforts to achieve common goals, encouraging joint investment, and building on the successful outcomes of the Bahrain-Brazil Joint Forum organised by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) during the Brazilian President’s visit to Bahrain.

UAE, Slovakia discuss cooperation


His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Robert Kalinák, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Slovak Republic

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the meeting discussed bilateral relations and developing cooperation across various domains, including economics, trade, investment, and energy.

The meeting also discussed cooperation within international organisations and reviewed current regional and international developments, particularly in the Middle East.

Bahrain Bourse participates in HSBC GCC Exchanges London Conference


Bahrain Bourse participated in the HSBC GCC Exchanges London Conference 2024, held from June 10-13.

Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Ambassador of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, was present.

Bahrain Bourse aimed to attract international investments and enhance its cooperation with global fund and asset managers through its participation at the conference.

HSBC’s third GCC conference brings together senior leaders representing all GCC markets with international investors, to promote growth and investment opportunities in the region’s capital markets.

During his participation in the conference, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse, participated in a panel titled ‘Shaping Bahrain’s Sustainable Future.’

Shaikh Khalifa highlighted the role of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting in driving sustainable growth and discussed recent advancements in ESG practices within Bahrain’s capital market.

Bahrain’s Hajj Mission: all Bahraini pilgrimage campaigns relocated services to holy sites


Manama: Dr. Mohammed Taher Al Qattan, Deputy Head of Bahrain Hajj Mission, confirmed that entry permits to the holy sites have been issued for all Bahraini pilgrimage campaigns and have been distributed to the respective campaigns.

The Deputy Head stated that all Bahraini campaigns have relocated their services to the holy sites and received permits for supervisors’ vehicles and for transporting pilgrims to these sites.

He commended the cooperation between Bahraini Hajj campaigns and the mission’s committees, ensuring the successful organisation of pilgrims’ journeys and the provision of optimal services to facilitate their rituals comfortably and smoothly.
