Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, the UAE, and Qatar to Support Mediation Efforts to End the Gaza Crisis


Riyadh: The foreign ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and the State of Qatar held a virtual meeting on June 3. They discussed developments in the mediation efforts by Egypt, the United States and Qatar aimed at reaching an exchange deal that leads to a permanent ceasefire, the release of hostages and detainees, and the delivery of adequate amounts of humanitarian assistance into Gaza. The foreign ministers of Jordan, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia reaffirmed their support for these efforts.

The ministers also discussed the proposal presented by US President Joe Biden on the 2nd of June to achieve this end. The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Qatar, and Egypt also stressed the importance of dealing seriously and positively with the US President’s proposal with the aim of agreeing on a deal that ensures a permanent ceasefire and the adequate delivery of aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip, in a manner t
hat ends the suffering of the people of Gaza.

The ministers stressed the need to stop the aggression against Gaza and end the humanitarian catastrophe it is causing. They also stressed the need for the return of the displaced persons to their regions, the complete withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from the Gaza Strip, and launching a reconstruction process within the framework of a comprehensive plan to implement the two-state solution in accordance with the relevant Security Council resolutions and with specific timeframes and binding guarantees.

The ministers also stressed that the implementation of the two-state solution, which embodies an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967, borders, with east Jerusalem as its capital, living side by side with Israel in peace and security, in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the international community, as means to achieve peace and stability for all in the region.

HRH Crown Prince Holds Phone Call with Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah on the Occasion of His Appointment as Crown Prince


Jeddah: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, held a phone call with Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, congratulating him on the occasion of his appointment as Crown Prince.

HRH the Crown Prince expressed his wishes for success to the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, looking forward to strengthening cooperation between the two brotherly countries in light of the well-established historical relations.

The Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait expressed his deepest thanks and appreciation to HRH the Crown Prince for his sincere feelings, stressing keenness to continue cooperation between the two countries.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Receives Written Message from King of Jordan


Riyadh: The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, received today a written message from King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan related to relations between the two countries.

On behalf of Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the message was received by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for International Multilateral Affairs and General Supervisor of the Public Diplomacy Deputyship, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, during his meeting today at the ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh with the ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Haitham Abu Al-Foul.

During the meeting, they reviewed relations between the two countries and discussed ways to enhance and develop them in all fields. They also reviewed issues of common interest.

Saudi, Kuwaiti Foreign Ministers Co-Chair 2nd Meeting of the Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council


Kuwait: The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, co-chaired today, at the headquarters of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kuwait, the second meeting of the Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council.

During his speech at the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that the Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council reflects the interest paid by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Amir Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah of the State of Kuwait in pushing relations to wider horizons in order to achieve the aspirations of the two countries. He emphasized the importance of the coordination council and its committees as an effective platform and institutional tool that frames the work of the two countries, looking forward to exerting all efforts to make the council’s outputs a tangible reality.

Then, the two ministers signed the minutes of the seco
nd meeting of the Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council.

A joint cooperation program was also signed between the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies and the Sheikh Soud Nasser Al-Sabah Kuwait Diplomatic Institute. Additionally, two memorandums of understanding between the two governments were signed: the first on the mutual recognition of seafarers’ certificates and the second in the field of technical cooperation for the protection and preservation of the environment.

Crown Prince of Kuwait Receives Saudi Foreign Minister


Kuwait: Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah received today here at Bayan Palace Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah.

Prince Faisal conveyed the greetings and appreciation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the Kuwaiti leadership, along with their best wishes for further progress, prosperity, and growth for Kuwait.

Prince Faisal congratulated Sheikh Sabah on his appointment as crown prince of Kuwait, wishing him health, happiness, and success.

The officials reviewed the historical brotherly ties between their two countries and their peoples, scope of further boosting cooperation in various fields, and the latest developments in the region.

The meeting was attended by Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya and other senior officials.
