Moroni, Saudi Ambassador to the Union of Comoros Dr. Atallah bin Zayed Al-Zayed bid farewell to the Guests of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Program for Hajj and Umrah for this year 1445AH at the embassy’s headquarters in Moroni today.

Ambassador Al Zayed said that the hosting is part of the noble efforts made by the wise leadership in serving Islam and Muslims. He pointed out that serving the two holy mosques is one of the main pillars of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 program.

In response, Moheli Island Magistrate Nizam Bouwane expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for the generous hosting. He also extended his prayers to protect the Kingdom and its people and grant them security and safety.

The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) praised the efforts made by the State of Qatar and Egypt to achieve a ceasefire and stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip that has been ongoing since last October.

In a statement on Monday, GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi welcomed the initiative announced by the President of the United States Joe Biden to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip which included the withdrawal of Israeli forces, release of detainees and prisoners, return of the displaced to their homes safely, and provide adequate humanitarian aid to civilians.

Albudaiwi stressed the need to build on this declaration to reach a political framework to resume negotiations to achieve comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and international legitimacy resolutions.

On Friday, US President underscored the importance of stopping the eight-month war in the Gaza Strip and declared a plan to reach a ceasefire.

HH the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met on Monday with Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, who is visiting Kuwait.

The meeting discussed relations between the two countries.

Saudi Foreign Minister had met with Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, during which they reviewed prospects for bilateral cooperation in various fields and the latest developments in the region.
