Imams of the Two Holy Mosques Join Fatwa Chair to Enhance Pilgrims’ Experience


Madinah: The Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque today launched an initiative involving the participation of the esteemed Imams of the Two Holy Mosques in the Fatwa Chair.

The initiative aims to enrich the experience of pilgrims, enhance programs for answering inquiries, and activate the moderate religious message of the Imams beyond the mihrab and pulpit.

President of religious affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, launched the initiative at the Prophet’s Mosque, involving the Imams of the Prophet’s Mosque in receiving and answering questions related to Hajj and visiting the Prophet’s Mosque, based on evidence from the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

This coincided with the arrival of pilgrims for the 1445 AH Hajj season to perform the fifth pillar of Islam.

He emphasized that the wise leadership’s directives encourage exerting efforts, raising morale, and dedicating oneself to elevating and spreading the religious message
of the Two Holy Mosques worldwide.

He added that it aims to serve pilgrims and utilize all resources to facilitate the performance of their rituals.

Moreover, Sheikh Dr. Al-Sudais indicated that central to achieving these important goals is deepening the religious message of the Imams of the Two Holy Mosques and expanding their roles from the mihrab and pulpit to include scholarly chairs, scientific lessons, participating in issuing fatwas, and answering religious inquiries.

This enriches the experience of the pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque by clarifying the rituals of Hajj and Umrah and the etiquette of the visit, he noted.

Ambassador Al-Saqr Meets ALECSO Director General


Tunis, Saudi Ambassador to Tunisia Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Saqr met in Tunis today with the Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), Dr. Mohamed Ould Omar.

During the meeting, they discussed the work of the organization and its efforts in advancing and developing joint Arab action in a number of fields, especially in the fields of education and culture.

Attorney General Receives Secretary General of the International Association of Prosecutors


Riyadh: The Attorney General, Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Mujib, received the Secretary General of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), Roel Dona, and his accompanying delegation today.

Sheikh Al-Mujib emphasized that the meeting aims to enhance cooperation, share expertise in combating cross-border crimes, and exchange knowledge and information in relevant fields.

He stated that the Public Prosecution is actively countering extremist propaganda and incitement to violence on the internet and electronic media while respecting human rights and fulfilling international obligations. He also highlighted the significant support from the wise leadership for the legislative, judicial, and executive powers and efforts to enhance transparent and fair procedural governance.

Qatar, Uzbekistan Discuss Ways to Boost Air Transport Relations

The State of Qatar and Uzbekistan affirmed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between both countries’ civil aviation authorities, improving economic and trade exchange opportunities, and streamlining the flow of passengers and goods between Doha and Tashkent.

This came during a meeting between Acting President of the General Civil Aviation Authority Mohamed Faleh Al Hajri and Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Uzbekistan, Nazarov Taxir.

During the meeting, the two parties stressed the need and importance of continuous coordination to achieve all common goals.

On Sunday, Qatar Airways launched its first direct flight to Uzbekistans capital city of Tashkent.

SDRPY Launches Two Development Projects to Support Yemen’s Health Sector


Aden, The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) today launched two development projects to support the health sector in the Republic of Yemen.

One project is laying the foundation stone for constructing and equipping a rehabilitation centre in Aden Governorate for children with disabilities, which will, directly and indirectly, benefit 7,840 beneficiaries. The second project supports emergency and critical medical services in six Yemeni governorates: Aden, Lahij, Abyan, Taiz, Shabwah, and Al-Dhale.

The construction and equipment of the rehabilitation centre for children with disabilities are part of SDRPY’s efforts to support various segments of society and its commitment to comprehensive sustainable development programs and initiatives. The project also entails the delivery of 15 ambulances to enhance the capabilities of centres and hospitals in the Yemeni governorates and to bolster the overall health sector.

The rehabilitation centre for children aims to facilitate the effective
integration of children with disabilities into society, provide them with treatment and rehabilitation services, and enhance their mental, cognitive, and motor skills.

Makkah: The Saudi Third Expansion of the Grand Mosque in Makkah showcases a stunning fusion of Islamic architectural heritage and modern engineering. Every element reflects the rich artistic tradition, from the meticulously detailed dome designs inspired by historical mosques to the integration of cutting-edge technology.

The centerpiece of the expansion is a series of 22 remarkable domes. Twelve of these are crafted from movable glass, allowing natural light and ventilation to bathe the interior spaces under suitable weather conditions. Both the interior and exterior boast a luxurious aesthetic, featuring marble facades, intricate glasswork, and vibrant mosaics adorning the exterior surfaces. The ceilings within are breathtaking works of art, showcasing wood inlaid with precious stones.

Beyond the domes, the entire expansion embodies grandeur. Towering architectural divisions, soaring ceilings, and expansive balconies create a sense of awe.
