Conclusion of the workshop on teaching educational modules on anti-corruption.


Tripoli: The activities of the workshop on teaching educational units on combating corruption, which will be among the educational units in Libyan universities, were concluded yesterday, Thursday, in the capital, Tripoli, in the presence of an elite group of specialized faculty members at the universities of the Western Mountain (Nalot – Zintan). – Gharyan) and the committee of experts assigned by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as the workshop was distinguished by the valuable participation of all attendees.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Government of National Unity stated, that this workshop comes within the partnership and cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the United Nations Office on Drugs, Crime and Anti-Corruption. During the closing ceremony, certificates of participation were handed over to all attendees.

Conclusion of the third workshop held in the municipality of Al-Jofra.


Al-Jofra: The third workshop in the series of capacity building program trainings under the title ‘Preparing Young Media Professionals’ was concluded yesterday evening, Thursday, held in the municipality of Al-Jofra at the College of Business Administration – Wadan, under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and under the supervision of the Ministry’s branch in the central regions and implemented by the local youth council, Al-Jufra municipality.

The Ministry of Youth stated, that the workshop targeted 50 young men and women from various youth components in the city, in addition to students of the College of Media and young people interested and amateurs in the field of media, about the concept of media in language and terminology, and also introducing the fields of media and communication and their relationship with youth, in addition to the basic methods used in the field of media, as well as how to prepare for interviews and press releases.

The workshop was held under the supervision of ‘Abdul Mujib Al-
Shawish,’ a representative of the Programs and Activities Department at the Ministry of Youth, and in the presence of ‘Mohamed Balolo,’ head of the local youth council in the municipality of Al-Jufra, and members of the council.

Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra delivers a night of animated music at Bahrain National Theatre

Manama: The Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra presented a captivating concert titled “Animated Music” at the Bahrain National Theatre, under the baton of Maestro Dr. Mubarak Najem. The orchestra performed well known tunes from internationally acclaimed animated films and series.

The programme featured soundtracks from both modern and classic cartoons, evoking nostalgia and creating an atmosphere of joy and familiarity for the audience, reminiscent of the days when animated shows were a staple of family entertainment.

Founded in 2022 by Maestro Dr. Mubarak Najem, who also leads the Police Band and established the Bahrain Music Institute, the Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra signifies a new era in Bahrain’s musical scene. The orchestra includes over 100 musicians and choir members.

Supported by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, this project is part of the government’s ongoing commitment to arts, reflecting the kingdom’s cultural identity and heritage. It also highlights Bahrain’s dedication to po
sitioning itself as a cultural hub that welcomes various forms of artistic expression

The United States fully supports Libyan-led solutions to unify the Libyan army.


Gaborone: The US Embassy in Libya announced today, Friday, that the Commander of the US Military Command in Africa, General “Langley” and the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General “Brown” met with Lieutenant General “Al Haddad” and Lieutenant General “Al Nadori”, at the 2024 African Chiefs of Defense Conference in Gaborone, Botswana.

The embassy said, that the United States fully supports Libyan-led solutions to unify the Libyan army, and ensure Libyan sovereignty, adding, ‘We reaffirm our commitment to strengthening security cooperation between the United States and Libya in cooperation with professional Libyan military officers in all regions to build a stable and unified Libya for the Libyan people.’

LANA-Al-Jofra: Scientific dialogue sessions on production of dates in Hoon.


Hon: The Palm Growers Association in Hoon intends to organize a scientific dialogue session on the quality of Libyan dates and international specifications next Sunday, with the participation of a number of Libyan and Arab specialized experts in this field.

The association’s sources explained to LANA-Al-Jofra, that the program of the sessions includes three lectures presented by specialists from Libya, Tunisia and the Sultanate of Oman.

Its axes, focus on achieving good production of dates that will be a strong competitor in the international date market, based on integrated fertilization and its role in improving the soil, the quality of palm trees, the quality of the Libyan product of dates, the requirements of the international market, as well as post-harvest transactions and their role in the quality and safety of dates.

Bahrain Table Tennis Team heads to China for Asian championship

Manama: The Bahrain national junior women’s table tennis team departed for China to participate in the Asian Junior Championship, taking place from June 30 to July 6 with various Asian teams.

The women’s team qualified for the Asian Championship through the qualifiers held in Iraq.

The team delegation is led by Abduljalil Abdullah, a member of the Bahrain Table Tennis Association Board of Directors, and includes team manager Shaima Althawadi, coach Tasko, and players Maryam Al Aali, Amruta Amit, Dana Al Khayyat, and Kinda Mahmoud.

Abduljalil Abdullah confirmed that the team is fully prepared for this competition after a series of training sessions, continuously supported by Sheikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Table Tennis Association, and all board members.

He highlighted the team’s ambition to achieve the best results in the Asian Championship. Upon arrival in China, the team will commence daily training sessions. The coaching and adm
inistrative staff will also participate in the preparatory meetings and attend the draw for the tournament.
