93 Illegal Immigrants Arrested, Rescued Off Turkish Izmir Coast

Ankara, The Turkish authorities said the arrest and rescue of 93 illegal immigrants off the coast of Izmir Province, west of the country.

The Turkish Coast Guard Command said in a statement on Tuesday that teams were sent to rescue migrants after they were spotted on a rubber boat off the coast of Menderes district.

The statement noted that 19 migrants were rescued, including 3 children, who were on board the boat drifting at sea, and the teams also rescued 31 migrants who were on board a rubber boat whose engine broke down off the coast of Dikili district.

The Turkish Coast Guard Command added that its teams seized 43 migrants, including two children, on board a rubber boat that was spotted off the shores of Cemme, noting that it transferred the migrants to the Immigration Directorate in the state to take the necessary measures.

The Turkish borders with Bulgaria and Greece, and the Turkish shores, were witnessing an increasing number of illegal immigrants who take the land or sea route to reach a Europea
n country, while the Turkish security forces were working to prevent attempts to infiltrate across its borders.

QRCS Garners International Humanitarian Support for Afghanistan

Doha: Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) concluded today the Afghanistan Humanitarian Partners Workshop, co-hosted in Doha by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

In a statement, Director of Relief and International Programs Division at QRCS Dr. Mohamed Salah Ibrahim said that “QRCS is strongly committed to supporting humanitarian action in Afghanistan. We believe in working together and are ready to help ensure the success of these efforts. Every child who does not receive polio vaccine remains at risk of this serious disease, highlighting the urgent need for our continued efforts. We are confident that these discussions will be productive, leading to clear action plans. Together, we can make a big difference in the lives of those in need”.

Dr. Ibrahim said QRCS had been working in Afghanistan for 10 years now, implementing many diverse health, education, food, and other relief projects.

Palestinian PM and German Foreign Minister Discuss Developments in Palestinian Territories

Ramallah, Palestinian Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Mustafa and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, ways to end the Israeli onslaught, and ways to enhance the provision of aid to the Gaza Strip.

During the meeting, Mustafa said that the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2735 serves as a good start to reach a cease-fire and ensure the delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip, which are a priority.

The Prime Minister also underscored the importance of doubling efforts to stop all actions and incursions of the Israeli occupation and settler attacks in the West Bank.

Mustafa added that Israel’s continued withholding and deduction of Palestinian tax revenues threaten the Palestinian government’s ability to fulfill its obligations, calling on Germany to support the Palestinian government in maintaining its provision of vital services such as those related to the health and education sectors.

For her part, Baerbock s
tressed the importance of continuing joint American, European, and Arab efforts to reach a solution to the conflict and achieve the two-state solution, emphasizing her countrys ongoing efforts to release Palestinian tax funds withheld by Israel.

Ministry of Endowments Launches 3rd Season of Ummah Symposia Series

Doha: The Department of Islamic Research and Studies at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs is preparing to launch the third season of the series of the cultural project: ‘Ummah Symposia Series: collective duties (Fard Kifayah) … path to reform.’ HE Director of the Department of Research and Islamic Studies Sheikh Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al-Thani said that the third cultural season, which will begin its first seminars in October, includes four important seminars, each of which discusses the causes of the perceived imbalance in a field and inspects the prospects for possible reform through “collective duties” and how to employ them to achieve cognitive, social, economic, and advocacy reforms.

He pointed out that the “Ummah Symposia Series” is a cultural project and a quarterly scientific and intellectual symposium, which the Department of Islamic Research and Studies at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs is keen to organize to discuss a number of the most pressing issues and
problems at the level of society and the nation, with the participation of an elite group of people of thought, opinion, and knowledge.

The Director of the Department of Research and Islamic Studies noted that the second cultural season of the “Ummah Symposia Series,” which was organized under the theme “our values … the pillar of civilization and the path to advancement,” came to express the extent to which the Department of Research and Islamic Studies senses the importance of authentic Islamic values, and the need to spread them among the Muslim community as well as the extent of its conviction that these values will always remain the most important components of the cultural potential that the nation has for advancement and re-advancement.

At the end of the activities of its second cultural season of the “Ummah Symposia Series”, the ministry’s Islamic Research and Studies Department will organize a symposium under the title “confronting contemporary atheism,” on July 2.

The symposium aims to discuss
the phenomenon of contemporary atheism in Western society, attempts to export it to the Muslim community, view it as one of the tools of the modern war on Islam, and research ways to confront it, prevent it, and treat its effects, with the participation of an elite group of researchers, academics and preachers.

Google to Develop Artificial Intelligence Chatbot

Washington, Google is working on developing chatbots that operate with artificial intelligence (AI), and are distinguished by their ability to simulate the personalities of celebrities and influencers. These robots will be supported by Gemini models, and users will also be able to determine the robots personality and appearance. This product is expected to be launched during the current year as an independent project.

Google is discussing the possibility of integrating these robots into YouTube in the future, in order to provide an experience similar to what Meta already provides to users on its various platforms, such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger.
