Paris, HE Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces, Staff Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit attended the opening of the international land and air defense and security exhibition (Eurosatori 2024), held in Paris, France.

The exhibition brings together more than 2,000 companies from 60 countries and covers a wide range of sectors; land, air, and sea vehicles; and innovations in vehicle technology.

Inclusive Hajj: Saudi Arabia Improves Services for Elderly Pilgrims and Pilgrims with Disabilities


Mina: To ensure a safe and fulfilling Hajj experience for all, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has expanded services for elderly pilgrims and pilgrims with disabilities, with the full participation of government and private entities.

Under the guidance of the Saudi leadership, the ministry emphasized its commitment to serving all pilgrims. Director General of Social Responsibility and Voluntary Work at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Abdullah Al-Harbi highlighted this focus, and the ministry’s dedication to providing the most effective services for a smooth and enriching Hajj experience.

The Kingdom is prioritizing accessibility at the holy sites. Upgrades include access features like buses with specialized equipment, clearly marked routes for stoning the Jamarat, and accessible pathways throughout the holy sites.

Furthermore, pilgrims with disabilities benefit from dedicated medical and health teams that accompany them throughout their journey. A network of over 6,500 volunteers is also on hand to assist pi
lgrims. These volunteers are trained to prevent overcrowding and prioritize the well-being of elderly pilgrims and pilgrims with disabilities. Support includes preferential entry to and exit from the holy sites, and priority boarding buses, and general assistance to those who need it.

Spokesperson for the Authority of People with Disability Khalid Khabrani said the authority is working closely with other Hajj stakeholders to ensure accessibility for pilgrims with various needs. Through this collaboration a range of services is provided, including sign language translation, electric wheelchairs, and copies of the Quran in Braille.

The authority is committed to improving its services continuously. It tracks transportation, communication, healthcare, and Hajj campaigns to ensure accessibility, and addresses any potential issues. It monitors pilgrims’ needs in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah to further enhance services in the future.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s support extends beyond Hajj. It offers year-rou
nd programs specifically designed for first-time Umrah performers with newly acquired motor disabilities. These enriching programs provide guided Umrah rituals and visits to significant landmarks in Makkah.

These comprehensive measures demonstrate Saudi Arabia’s dedication to making Hajj a truly inclusive experience, regardless of the pilgrims’ age or ability.

GCC Reaffirms Urgent Need for Comprehensive Solution to Sudan Crisis

Geneva: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has reiterated its urgent call for a comprehensive solution to the ongoing crisis in Sudan, urging Sudanese parties to calm the situation and prioritize dialogue, unity, and the preservation of national state institutions to prevent their collapse and to avoid escalating conflicts and confrontations.

This statement was delivered by Deputy Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Jowhara bint Abdulaziz Al Suwaidi, on behalf of the GCC, as Qatar currently chairs the GCC session, during the Interactive Dialogue on Oral Update by Fact-Finding Mission on Sudan, part of the 56th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva.

The GCC called on both sides of the Sudanese conflict to commit to ending the conflict, as outlined in the Jeddah Declaration signed on May 11, 2023, regarding the commitment to protect civilians, and the May 20, 2023 declaration on a short-term ceasefire agreement and humanitarian arrangements under international hum
anitarian law and human rights law.

The GCC referenced UN Security Council Resolution 2,724, dated March 8, 2024, which urges all parties to ensure the removal of any obstacles and enable full, rapid, safe, and unimpeded access to humanitarian aid.

The GCC also urged the Sudanese government and the Rapid Support Forces to engage seriously and effectively with crisis resolution initiatives, including the Jeddah platform and neighboring countries, among others, reaffirming its commitment to stand by the Sudanese people, continue providing humanitarian aid, and contribute to alleviating their suffering.

Saudi Arabia’s Pavilion Debuts at EUROSATORY 2024


Paris, The General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) Governor Ahmad Abdulaziz Al-Ohali officially opened the Saudi Arabia pavilion at the Global Event for Defense and Security EUROSATORY 2024 in Paris. The ceremony was attended by Assistant Minister of Defense Eng. Talal bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Saudi Ambassador to France Fahd bin Mayouf Al-Ruwaili, as well as other officials, investors, and decision-makers in the defense and security sector, GAMI said in a statement.

Eng. Al-Ohali received a briefing on the main exhibits and products of the national entities participating in the Saudi pavilion, GAMI said. He listened to a detailed explanation of the latest developments and achievements in the military industries sector, which was represented by the Ministry of Investment in term of the Invest Saudi platform (INVEST SAUDI), the General Authority for Defense Development (GADD), several major Saudi national institutions and companies specialized in the field of military industries.

These include the Sau
di Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), Saudia Technic, Life Shield for military industries, Scopa Industries, Arabian International Co. for Steel Structures (AIC Steel), Saudi Leather Industries Company (SLIC), Al-Esnad for Military Supplies (AL-ESNAD), Khidmat Ray Manufacturing Co. (KRMC), and the World Defense Show (WDS).

The participating entities in the Saudi Pavilion highlighted the rapid steps taken by military industries to continue localizing and empowering the sector, which is rich in local capabilities that meet the practical needs of the military agencies within the framework of the sector’s rapid growth in attracting quality investments that will help develop a thriving economy and sustainable industry.

The GAMI governor noted that the Kingdom’s strategic participation aims to empower companies operating in the defense and security sector to meet with investors interested in the quality opportunities the sector presents. This is achieved by highlighting the attractive investment environment, dis
cussing international cooperation prospects with major regional and international companies, and activating and supporting qualitative partnerships between local companies operating in the sector and their counterparts from specialized global defense and security industries. The military industries sector in the Kingdom, represented by GAMI and its strategic partners from the government and private sectors, seeks to enhance cooperation and exchange knowledge and expertise.This collaborative effort is aimed at achieving the sector’s strategic goal of localizing over 50% of the Kingdom’s spending on military equipment and services by 2030.

Three Palestinians Martyred in Israeli Attacks on Gaza

Gaza, Three Palestinian citizens were martyred on Tuesday following two attacks by Israeli occupation forces targeting central and southern Gaza Strip.

According to local sources cited by the Palestinian news agency WAFA, medical teams and civilians managed to retrieve the body of one martyr and transport several injured individuals after Israeli airstrikes hit the Saudi neighborhood west of Rafah city in the southern part of the Strip.

Additionally, medical teams and civilians transported two martyrs to Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp, central Gaza Strip, after they were targeted by occupation forces near Wadi Gaza bridge.

The Israeli occupation continues its intense and unprecedented aggression on the Gaza Strip for the 256th consecutive day, launching dozens of airstrikes and bombardments by land and sea, committing bloody massacres against Palestinian civilians, and executing genocidal crimes in the areas of incursion. This has resulted in tens of thousands of martyrs, injured, and missin
g persons, causing immense destruction to infrastructure and vital facilities. Moreover, it has created an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip due to the halt of food, water, medicine, and fuel supplies because of the occupation’s restrictions.

Ministry of Interior Hosts Families of Martyrs and Injured for Hajj 1445


Makkah: Under the patronage and care of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and in line with the directives of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Ministry of Interior hosted families of martyrs and injured individuals for the Hajj this year, 1445 AH.

The Ministry of Interior undersecretary for military affairs, Maj. Gen. Dr. Suleiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Maiman, stated that the ministry hosted 289 pilgrims from the families of martyrs and injured personnel of the Ministry of Interior during this year’s Hajj season, 1445 AH. Multiple resources and facilities were mobilized to ensure their comfort, peace of mind, and ease in performing their rituals.
