RGA Announces Readiness of Madinah Roads to Receive Pilgrims


Madinah: The Roads General Authority (RGA) has announced that the roads in Madinah are ready to welcome pilgrims who wish to travel to Madinah after performing the Hajj rituals. The authority has conducted various maintenance and safety works to ensure the pilgrims’ safety. These works include surveying over 3,000 km of roads, removing over 100,000 square meters of sand dunes from the roadsides, and carrying out scraping and asphalting work on over 132 km of roads. The authority has surveyed and repaired road shoulders over 1,017 km of roadways and cleaned over 1,000 valley drain locations.

The RGA has utilised advanced technologies in all of its work, including the world’s largest road survey and assessment fleet of 18 vehicles. Additionally, the authority has introduced an asphalt recycling machine for the first time, which scrapes and repaves the asphalt in the same location, thereby facilitating the maintenance process to ensure the best services for pilgrims.

The Roads General Authority is dedicated to
providing all pilgrims with a safe and smooth journey, ensuring they can travel easily and safely between the holy sites in Madinah.

Lebanon’s Caretaker Prime Minister Affirms Keenness to Halt Israeli Ongoing Breaches of Lebanon’s Sovereignty

Beirut, Lebanon’s Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati affirmed on Tuesday that his country continues to de-escalate the situation and to stop the constant breaches of Lebanon’s sovereignty, in addition to the systematic killings and destruction being committed by the Israeli entity.

During his meeting with the US special envoy to Lebanon Amos Hochstein, Mikati added that Beirut does not seek escalation, stressing that stopping the persistent Israeli aggression on Lebanon is required immediately so as to maintain calm and stability in the south of Lebanon.

For his part, Hochstein said the work is ongoing to avert escalation between the Israeli entity and Lebanon, adding that the region is going through dangerous times and critical moments that precipitate collective action to find a way for de-escalation.

The Israeli entity continues to target villages and towns in southern Lebanon, concurrently with the ongoing Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip. The persistent onslaught in southern Lebanon resulted in
civilian casualties and forcing families to flee their homeland.

Pilgrims of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program Leave Mina after Casting Stones at Jamarat on Second Day of Tashreeq


Makkah: The pilgrims participating in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit, overseen by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, consist of 3,322 individuals from 88 different countries. They concluded the ritual of casting stones at the Jamarat in Mina today, where they threw pebbles at three pillars in sequence: Jamarat Al-Oula (the small pillar), Jamarat Al-Wusta (the middle pillar), and Jamarat Al-Aqaba (the large pillar).

Following this, the pilgrims proceeded to the Grand Mosque to perform the Farewell Tawaf. Tomorrow, they will travel to Madinah to spend several days near the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), offering prayers at the Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah, visiting the Quba Mosque, and exploring other significant historical landmarks.

The guests of the program, hailing from various countries worldwide, commended the excellent services provided by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance. They expressed appreciation for the provisi
on of all their needs and for the smooth and convenient transportation between the holy sites and the Jamarat. They prayed for the well-being of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, recognizing their continuous supervision, care, and attention during this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.

King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language to Participate in Beijing International Book Fair


Riyadh: The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language is preparing to participate in the Beijing International Book Fair 2024. It will be part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s pavilion as the guest of honor for this year’s edition. The collaboration is in partnership with the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission. The event is scheduled to take place from June 19 to 23 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing.

The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language’s involvement in the Saudi pavilion aligns with various cultural and national entities to support the Human Capability Development Program, which aims to realize the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 through the implementation of relevant qualitative activities, such as seminars and panel discussions, under the participation of Saudi and Chinese researchers.

Additionally, the academy is set to host the Saudi-Chinese Linguistic Forum, a scientific and cultural event organized in cooperation with the Literature, Publishing,
and Translation Commission.

Presidency of Religious Affairs: 1.5 Million People Benefited from Central Tawaf Initiative During Hajj season


Makkah: The Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, represented by the General Department of Tawaf Affairs at the Grand Mosque, has provided central Tawaf services to over 1.5 million pilgrims during the 1445 AH Hajj season, setting a new record.

This effort was made to improve the Tawaf process, especially with the large number of pilgrims performing the farewell Tawaf.

The program includes Tawaf services, guidance, and field awareness for the pilgrims, ensuring their needs are met and that they perform the Tawaf ritual correctly according to the guidance of Prophet Mohammed.

Hundreds of qualified Saudi youth supervise the program. The central Tawaf program, launched 14 years ago, continuously expands and modernizes through cooperation with partners in the Tawaf service.

In a cable sent to HRH the Crown Prince, the Kuwaiti Amir expressed his sincere congratulations on the great success achieved due to the generous care given by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH the Crown Prince, and the Saudi government, represented by all ministries and sectors, which contributed significantly to its success.

Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah appreciated the expansion and growth at the Holy Mosque and the development of modern smart services and technologies throughout the holy sites that meet the needs of pilgrims and facilitate the performance of rituals. He expressed his appreciation for the role of Makkah Governor and Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz and advisor to the Custodian
of the Two Holy Mosques, Minister of Interior, and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz for their diligent and continuous efforts to coordinate and integrate between sectors to implement the Hajj plan in the best possible way.
