Qatari Hajj Mission Holds Meeting with Legal (Sharia) Guides Accompanying Hajj Campaigns

The Sharia and Religious Guidance Unit of the Qatari Hajj Mission held a meeting with the Legal (Sharia) guides accompanying the Qatari Hajj campaigns, to determine their preparations for religious awareness and guidance, and to provide moral and faith support to pilgrims, in the presence of HE Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, head of the Qatari Hajj Mission, Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem, During the meeting, HE the Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs and the head of the mission underlined the prominent role of the legal (Sharia) guides in educating the pilgrims and guiding them towards a correct understanding of the rituals and performing them with spirituality and piety, adhering to the principles and morals of Islam and being patient in obedience and crowding in performing this duty, which brings together millions of Muslims from all over the world.

HE the Minister urged them to take advantage of these times in remembrance, supplication, and reading the Quran, and for eve
ry pilgrim to be careful to complete rituals in the correct manner to gain the great reward for the Hajj obligation, and return from it pure as the day his mother gave birth to him.

His Excellency called on all legal (Sharia) guides in the campaigns to fully cooperate with all pilgrims during their performance of rituals and their stay in the camps in the Holy Sites, stressing that the State is making every effort to serve the pilgrims of the State of Qatar and all campaigns and facilitate their affairs, so that the Hajj season to be distinguished and exceptional, by providing distinguished services ensuring satisfaction and safety of all the countrys pilgrims, including preparing all means that would facilitate the performance of the Hajj.

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Al Mahmoud, head of the Sharia and Religious Guidance Unit at the Hajj Mission, said: “The legal conditions in the Qatari Hajj campaigns are reassuring and auspicious, and planning for the rituals and the Hajj route is going smoothly,”
affirming the readiness of the pilgrims of the State of Qatar to perform the rituals.

He explained that the Legal (Sharia) guides who were chosen to accompany the Qatari campaigns during this years Hajj season are mostly Qatari preachers qualified to guide and issue fatwas regarding Hajj rituals, and they perform their work of preaching, guiding, issuing fatwas, and explaining the correct Hajj rulings to the pilgrims of Qatar.

He called on the campaigners to cooperate with the Legal (Sharia) guides, stressing that the places and camps in Al Mashaer are fully prepared with all services and facilities to receive pilgrims and perform the Hajj .

The meeting also discussed some of the legal issues that were presented to the members of the Sharia Unit and the guides during the last period, regarding the provisions of Hajj and emerging issues in the jurisprudential aspects of this obligation, and agreement was made on the approved fatwas regarding them, and the recommendations of the Sharia Unit and religious gui
dance in the mission were taken into account.

Saudi Scouts Support Ministry of Health Staff in Hospitals of the Holy Sites

Makkah: The Saudi Arabian Scouts Association in Makkah and the holy sites began supporting the working teams in the Ministry of Health in hospitals and health centers. It also participated in directing pilgrims and patients to clinics, medical laboratories, and pharmacies and guiding them to their destinations after leaving hospitals and health centers.

The leader of the health group, the scout leader, Dr. Mansour Abdulrahman Al-Sharif, stated that the members of the scout teams were trained and distributed according to a scheduled plan until the 14th day of Dhu al-Hijjah to assist pilgrims inside hospitals and health centers in Makkah and the holy sites.

He pointed out that the scouts’ tasks are to provide first aid to the injured and to guide patients to their residences after their recovery.

Qatar’s Pilgrims Stand at Arafat, Head to Muzdalifah after Sunset on Saturday

The pilgrims of the State of Qatar settle with the crowds of pilgrims at the pure level of Arafat, after they head there tomorrow, Saturday, the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah, to perform the greatest pillar of the Hajj, and witness the great pause, in a scene full of faith, with humility and tranquility, praying and supplicating, praying to God Almighty to grant them pardon, forgiveness, mercy, and freedom from Hell.

At Arafat, pilgrims will pray the noon (Zuhr) and afternoon prayers (Asr) combined and shortened with one call to prayer and two iqamas. They remain in Arafat and strive diligently in remembrance and supplication until sunset.

After sunset, all the pilgrims depart from Arafat to Muzdalifah, where they pray the sunset (Maghrib) and evening (Ishaa) prayers, combined and shortened, and spend the night there, before heading to Mina to stone the Great Jamarat of Aqaba.

The crowds of pilgrims had spent the Day of Tarwiyah in Mina, following the example of the Prophet (PBUH), before stopping at Arafat, amid in
tensive measures taken by the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to facilitate the movement of the crowds of pilgrims.

In addition, the Qatari Hajj Mission is making every effort to serve the pilgrims of Qatar and all campaigns and facilitate their affairs, as the service and technical units supporting the mission work according to an integrated system to serve the countrys pilgrims, in addition to harnessing their capabilities to ensure their service and safety, including: providing healthcare and legal guidance, besides the rites (Masha’ir Services Unit, the Call and Support Center Unit, and the Monitoring and Inspection Unit, all of which work within a framework of integration in order to care, serve the countrys pilgrims and their safety, and to provide all means to facilitate the performance of this religious duty.

Meanwhile, the Medical Services Unit of the Qatari Hajj Mission prepared a clinic for men and another for women in the Mash’ar Arafa camp, and the necessary medical arrang
ements were ready to receive all cases, whether normal, critical or emergency, in times of need, in addition to providing the latest emergency equipment, an ambulance with male and female paramedics, to provide all medications and treatments necessary for all medical cases.

Arafat Sermon and Scholarly Lessons Broadcast from the Grand Mosque in Foreign Languages

Mina: The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques is broadcasting all sermons at the Grand Mosque through the Manarat Al-Haramain digital platform and FM radio.

The authority provides live translations of Friday sermons, the Istisqa (prayer asking for rain) prayer, lunar and solar eclipses prayers, and lessons at the Grand Mosque into 10 languages.

Also translated are the Eid Al-Adha and Eid Al-Fitr sermons, the Day of Arafat sermon, and continuous 24-hour live broadcasts. The authority also offers live translations informing about programs and initiatives during the Umrah and Hajj seasons.

The authority also offers guidance service for pilgrims at the Grand Mosque in more than 50 languages, including English, French, Malay, Persian, Urdu, Russian, Chinese, Hausa, Turkish and Bengali. This service entails guiding and directing inquiries to designated locations at the Grand Mosque and its courtyards. It informs pilgrims of prayer times, lesson schedules, lecture timings, and exhibition visit
schedules.

The authority enriches the pilgrims’ experience with cultural and historical information about the Grand Mosque, live sermons, lessons, and electronic broadcasts, and distributes wireless headsets to access them.

First Batch of Qatari Aid Arrives for Those Affected by Drought in Namibia

A Qatari Armed Forces’ plane arrived on Friday in the Republic of Namibia, carrying 30 tons of aid including food baskets, being the first batch of aid provided by Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD).

The aid comes within the framework of the State of Qatar’s support for the Republic of Namibia and its people and its support for those affected by the drought that the country is suffering from.

Weather Forecast in Makkah, Madinah and Jeddah

Makkah: According to the National Center for Meteorology (NCM), the weather forecast indicates partly cloudy skies in Makkah and Madinah and clear skies in Jeddah.

The temperature in Makkah is 43 degrees Celsius, with winds from the southwest to the west at a speed of 14 km/h. In Madinah, the temperature is 47 degrees Celsius, accompanied by winds from northwest to southwest, with a speed of 12 km/h. Meanwhile, in Jeddah, the temperature stands at 40 degrees Celsius, with winds from the southwest to the west at a speed of 10 km/h.
