Doha: Weather inshore until 6:00 pm on Thursday will be hot to very hot daytime, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report.

Offshore, it will be fine, becomes hazy to misty at places later, the report added.

Wind inshore will be northwesterly to northeasterly 5 – 15 KT, gusting to at 25 KT at places daytime.

Offshore, it will be northwesterly 8 – 18 KT at first shifting to northeasterly to easterly 3 – 10 KT by afternoon.

Sea state inshore will be 1 – 2 ft. Offshore will be 3 – 5 ft at first falling to 1 – 3 ft by afternoon.

Visibility inshore will be 4 – 9 km. Offshore will be 5 – 10 km / 3 km or less at places later.

Saudi Ambassador to Jordan Meets with German Jordanian University President


Amman, The Saudi ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, met in Amman today with German Jordanian University President Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli and Director of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) regional office in Amman Steffen Binfield.

They discussed ways to enhance academic cooperation with the university during the meeting.

KSrelief Distributes Nearly 700 Food Baskets in Yemen’s Aden and Lahj


Aden, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) yesterday distributed food baskets to 680 families in the Republic of Yemen’s Aden and Lahj Governorates, benefiting 4,760 individuals as part of this year’s food aid distribution project in Yemen.

The aid is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts, represented by KSrelief, to meet the basic food needs of the displaced and the most vulnerable families in Yemen.

UK Parliament Dissolved Ahead of Election

The UK Parliament was formally dissolved on Thursday ahead of the July 4 general election.

Five weeks of campaigning officially began as 650 seats of members of parliament (MPs) became vacant in line with the electoral schedule.

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak made surprise decision last week calling for a snap general election.

Some 129 MPs have so far announced that they will not be standing for re-election. Among them are 77 Conservatives, an unprecedented exodus for a governing party.

Saudi, Moroccan Health Ministers Discuss Cooperation at WHA77


Geneva, Minister of Health Fahd bin Abdurrahman Al-Jalajel met with Moroccan Minister of Health and Social Protection Khaled Ait Taleb on the sidelines of the 77th World Health Assembly (WHA77) in Geneva, Switzerland.

Al-Jalajel and Taleb discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation, aligning visions, and exchanging expertise in the health fields as part of the historic and robust relations between Saudi Arabia and Morocco.
