Belhaq: The meeting of the House of Representatives and the Supreme Council of State in Tunisia discussed the political impasse and ways to activate the electoral process.


More than 120 members of the House of Representatives and the State House met yesterday, Wednesday, in the Tunisian capital, Tunis.

The spokesman for the House of Representatives, Abdullah Belhaq, said on his Facebook page, ‘The meeting discussed the political impasse and ways to activate the electoral process and confirm the ownership of the political process by the Libyans.’

According to Belhaq, the attendees agreed on a minutes of agreement that includes the agreed upon issues and the mechanism for their implementation, in addition to a political statement about the meeting and the reasons for holding it and the difficulties that accompany it.

The spokesman for the House of Representatives indicated that the minutes of the agreement between members of the House of Representatives and the state included the following: –

1 – Renewing commitment to electoral laws No. 28 and 27 of 2023, which were completed through the (6+6) committee and issued by the House of Representatives.

2 – Forming a new national
government that works to achieve the electoral entitlement, as stipulated in Articles (86 and 90) of the electoral laws.

3- The need to respect Libyan ownership of the political process, and the new prime minister will be chosen through a transparent and fair mechanism based on the road map presented by the (6+6) committee, in agreement between the two councils and under the auspices of the UN mission.

4- Calling on the High National Elections Commission to begin implementing electoral laws, and asking it to announce the date of holding the elections.

5- Emphasizing the seriousness of what was stated in the Central Bank’s report on the extent of inflation in spending on the issues of support, expenditures, and funding from unknown sources, and the necessity of forming an investigation committee into this.

6 – The necessity of setting binding controls and legislation for the next government to ensure the fight against centralization, support of local units, and direct allocations to municipalities and gove
rnorates.

7 – A follow-up committee will be formed from members of the two councils to undertake local and international communication with the aim of implementing the agreed-upon outcomes, provided that the committee submits its first report to the members of the two councils within a month.

8 – The committee is tasked with preparing for the second expanded meeting of members of the two councils.

An American military delegation discusses training with the 444th Combat Brigade in Tripoli.


A military delegation from the US Department of Defense, ‘Pentagon,’ conducted an inspection tour of the ‘444th Brigade Combat’ camp of the Tripoli Military District.

The 444th Fighting Brigade said on its Facebook page yesterday, Wednesday, that the visit of the Pentagon delegation, accompanied by the military attaché of the US Embassy to Libya, to the camp came ‘to coordinate the training and raise the combat level of the members of the 444th Fighting Brigade, where the delegation was briefed on the camp’s facilities, accompanied by the brigade commander, and the possibility of giving training courses in several fields related to the military aspect.’

The 444th Combat Brigade published a photo of the American military delegation’s tour inside its camp, accompanied by the brigade commander, Brigadier General Mahmoud Hamza.

(Al-Dabaiba): Guinea-Bissau and the African Union countries support the efforts made to hold the Libyan elections.


The President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Omar Al-Mukhtar Sisko, affirmed his desire to consolidate Libyan-Guinean relations, praising the state of stability that Libya is experiencing.

This came during a reception by the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdel Hamid Dabaiba, this Thursday morning in the capital, Tripoli, according to the Prime Minister’s Media Office.

During the meeting, which was attended by the Chief of General Staff, who is in charge of running the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministers of State for Cabinet Affairs, Communication and Political Affairs, the Guinean President renewed his country’s and the African Union’s support for the efforts made to hold the Libyan elections.

For his part, ‘Dabaiba’ welcomed the Guinean President and his accompanying delegation, and praised the bonds of relationship and cooperation that have existed for decades, stressing the necessity of activating the common files between the two countries, and the harmony of the African
Union and the countries of the Sahel-Saharan Community with international efforts to end the transitional stages in Libya to reach elections, according to the media office.

A French military medical delegation visits the old city of Tripoli.


A French military medical delegation concluded a visit to the capital, Tripoli, by visiting the old city of Tripoli to learn about the landmarks and historical monuments of Libya.

The Military Medical Service of the National Unity Government said in a post on its Facebook page today, Thursday, that the French delegation learned during its tour the division of the old city, the main gates and entrances, the squares and the historical monuments.

The Red Brigades, the Philadelphia flag and the antiquities inside the Brigades building were also introduced, according to the same source.

It is noteworthy that the French delegation was accompanied during its visit to the Old City by members of the committee assigned by the Director General of the Military Medical Service, headed by Colonel Faraj Al-Shamam.

Yesterday, Wednesday, the French military medicine delegation made a field visit to Mitiga Military Hospital, as part of the agency’s plan to benefit from French expertise and establish partnerships for the pu
rpose of localizing treatment at home, which the National Unity Government seeks.

According to the agency’s official Facebook page, the visit was devoted to inspecting the hospital departments, discussing frameworks and ways of cooperation in exchanging experiences, and opening the door for visiting doctors to come to Libya and provide their consulting services.

The delegation was also briefed on the new departments under implementation for cardiology, endoscopic operations and other important departments.

The French medical delegation expressed their admiration for the services and equipment inside the hospital from all departments, and they are ready to transfer their medical experience to all medical centers affiliated with the agency after signing the joint agreement between French and Libyan military medicine.

(Al-Koni) participates in the sixth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly held in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.


Representative of the Presidential Council, Moussa Al-Koni, participated today, Thursday, in the sixth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-6), held in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, under the slogan ‘Effective, comprehensive, sustainable and multilateral measures to confront climate change, loss of biodiversity and pollution.’ .

The Council’s media office stated that the session aims to take critical environmental decisions to address crises represented in the nature of climate change, nature loss, biodiversity, pollution and waste, as a continuation of the set of decisions taken in previous sessions to ensure a sustainable future for the planet.

The office explained that the session will conclude its work tomorrow, Friday, with the participation of heads of states and governments, ministers of the environment, heads of regional economic groups, the Minister of Environment in the Government of National Unity, ‘Ibrahim El-Arabi,’ and a number of specialists in the field of the environment.
