FM discusses with Director of UN Representative Office, Office’s plan for year 2024


The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the caretaker government, Eng. Hisham Sharaf, discussed on Monday with the new Director of the Office of the United Nations Representative, Dr. Mohamed Elghannam, the work of the office in Sana’a and its plans for the year 2024.

In the meeting, Minister Sharaf pointed out that the US-British aggression against the Republic of Yemen is a punishment for Sana’a by Washington and the countries allied to the Zionist entity because of its humanitarian and moral stance in supporting Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.

He stressed that Sanaa’s position is firm and continuous until the end of the aggression and the lifting of the siege on Gaza, and the entry of humanitarian, food, medicine and fuel aid to the Gaza Strip without any obstacles.

The Libyan National Security Advisor meets in Benghazi with the Italian Ambassador to Libya.

The Libyan National Security Advisor, ‘Ibrahim Bouchnaf,’ met on Sunday evening in the city of Benghazi, with the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Libya, ‘Gianluca Alberini.’

During the meeting, which was attended by the Italian Consul in Benghazi, Francesco De Luigi, and a number of department directors and advisors in the Council, Bushnaf discussed with the Italian Ambassador the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to develop them.

The meeting also discussed the current Libyan situation, and the role of the Republic of Italy in bringing the views of the Libyan parties closer together in order to end the state of division and complete the election process.

The Libyan National Security Advisor presented to the Italian delegation the Council’s vision and practical steps to resolve the Libyan crisis through a Libyan dialogue in which all parties contribute to produce a unified government that works to hold a referendum on the constitution and hold permanent elections for the
country.

In turn, the Italian ambassador stressed that the views are consistent with the Council’s vision regarding the practical steps that must be taken at the present time in working with the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, stressing that his country will spare no effort to end the state of Libyan division.

Sixth Conference of Field Epidemiology begins in Sana’a


The Sixth Conference on Field Epidemiology began in Sana’a on Monday, and the sixth batch of the program graduated.

The conference will discuss, in three days, with the participation of a number of graduates of the program, medical and health staff at the Ministry of Health, directors of health offices and epidemiological surveillance coordinators in the governorates, the graduation research of 33 graduates, including infectious diseases and chronic diseases.

At the opening, the Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Mutahar Al-Marwani, pointed to the importance of the conference and the field epidemiology program in providing the Ministry with qualified and trained cadres in the field of epidemiology.

He stressed the ministry’s keenness to encourage scientific studies and research to develop health policies and priorities, calling on those in charge of the program to intensify field studies and research in chronic diseases, including cancer.

He touched on the suffering of the health sector
in Gaza and the spread of epidemics and diseases as a result of the barbaric aggression of the usurping Zionist entity, reviewing the difficulties facing Yemen in combating epidemics that the American, Saudi and Emirati aggression contributed to their spread in Yemen.

Dr. Al-Marwani praised the efforts of those in charge of the field epidemiology program in finding qualified national cadres specialized in field epidemiology.

Libya’s permanent representative to the League of Arab States meets his Algerian counterpart.

The Permanent Representative of Libya to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Abdel-Muttalib Thabet, received the Permanent Representative of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Ambassador Abdelaziz bin Ali Al-Sharif, at the headquarters of the Libyan Delegation in Cairo.

The two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, the historical ties that bring together the State of Libya and the Republic of Algeria, and the importance of enhancing cooperation and joint work for the benefit of the two friendly peoples, within the framework of joint Arab action under the umbrella of the League of Arab States.

A meeting that included the heads of the Customs Department, Engineer Adel Margham, and Tax Department, Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed, discussed aspects of coordination and cooperation in facilitating and simplifying customs procedures for importers through Hodeida port .

The meeting touched on joint efforts aimed at facilitating the import of goods through Hodeida ports and overcoming various challenges within the framework of general directions to facilitate navigational movement.

The customs , tax facilities and incentives available to traders and importers were reviewed, which contributed significantly to developing the partnership between the government and the private sector.
