The Ministry of Economy is considering launching the daily bulletin of the movement of commodity prices in the local market.

Tripoli, The Minister of Economy and Trade, “Mohammed Al-Hawij,” met today, Thursday, with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libya Trade Network, “Mohamed Al-Dawreesh,” and the Executive Director of the network, “Haitham Musbah,” to follow up on the executive position of the programs and projects of the Libya Trade Network.

The meeting, which was held at the Ministry’s office, discussed the readiness to launch the daily bulletin of the movement of commodity prices in the local market and the bulletin of global currencies, metals and commodities and its weekly analytical readings.

The Chairman of the Network’s Board of Directors reviewed the procedures related to signing a joint work cooperation agreement between the Network, the Ports and Maritime Transport Authority and the Libyan Ports Company regarding facilitating trade operations and procedures through ports and cooperation in the field of trade information exchange, training and development.

Al-Hawij was also briefed on the measures taken to resume work on the project of localizing the Master Single Window for Foreign Trade (LSW) implemented by the Korea Trade Network (KTNET), as well as the program to activate the activity of the training and capacity development center in the field of trade affiliated to the network.

The 49th Conference of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation kicks off in Nouakchott.

Nouakchott, The work of the 49th Conference of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation began in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, today, Thursday, under the slogan: “Mediocrity and Moderation are the security and stability valve” .

According to the Mauritanian News Agency, the participants in the conference will discuss a number of political, economic, cultural, social, scientific, humanitarian and media issues, including the Palestinian issue, developments in the Afghan issue, the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, Mali and the Sahel region, and the situation of minorities and Muslim communities in non-member countries.

The ongoing efforts to combat violent extremism and terrorism, and the phenomenon of “Islamophobia”, will also be discussed, coinciding with the first anniversary of the United Nations declaring March 15 as the International Day against “Islamophobia”.

Batili is discussing with the (5 + 5) committee the formation of a joint military force as a step towards uniting the army.

Tunisia, The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, “Abdullah Batili”, met today, Thursday, in the Tunisian capital, with members of the Joint Military Committee (5 + 5), in the presence of Lieutenant General “Muhammad Al-Haddad” and Lieutenant General “Abdul Raziq Al-Naduri”, and members of the UN mission.

The meeting was also attended by ambassadors from the United Kingdom, Turkey, Italy and France, and a representative of the African Union.

The discussion focused on the mechanism of unifying the military institution and the difficulties it faces, and the formation of the joint military force as a first step to the actual start of unifying the army affiliated with the General Staff, as well as securing borders and elections.
