Al-Talib leads hand-over at Libyan embassy in Poland from former ambassador, Saleh Al-Makhzoum

Tripoli, Director of the European Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Iman Al-Talib, has attended the takeover at the Libyan embassy in Poland from former ambassador, Saleh Al-Makhzoum.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said that the procedures for handing-over the Libyan embassy in Warsaw from Al-Makhzoum took place in the presence of the technical committee accompanying the Director of the European Department.

In mid-February, the head of the Presidential Council, Muhammad al-Manfi, relieved Saleh al-Makhzoum of his duties as Libyan ambassador to Poland.

It is noteworthy that Saleh Al-Makhzoum was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Libya to Poland in December 2019 by a decision issued by the Head of the Presidential Council of the former Government of National Accord, Fayez Al-Sarraj.

Shakshak discusses with the South Korean ambassador ways to implement the obligations of Korean companies for the benefit of the Libyan state.

Tripoli, The President of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, met today, Monday, the South Korean Ambassador, Lee Sang-soo, and the economic attache at the embassy, in the presence of the directors of the competent departments of the Bureau.

The meeting dealt with ways of cooperation in implementing the obligations of Korean companies in favor of the Libyan state, and setting up the necessary mechanism and procedures for that.

For his part, Shakshak stressed during the meeting the importance of cooperation and partnership between the countries of Libya and Korea in the field of development.

Activities of scientific forum organized by African Union’s ECOSOCC kicks off in Tripoli.

Tripoli, The activities of the Scientific Forum, organized by the African Union’s Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC), kicked off, Monday, under AU slogan for 2023: “Accelerating the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area.”

The opening session of the forum was attended by the head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid al-Dabiba, a number of ministers and government institutions, director of the National Council for Economic and Social Development, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representatives of civil society, and a number of representatives of the councils from African Union and the Arab Maghreb.

The forum will discuss several themes, the most important of which are civil society, the promotion of a culture of citizenship and social peace, the role of moderate religious discourse in promoting social peace, culture and the environment as the driver for building social peace, rebuilding security and community peace within the framework of a reform policy within the path of democratic transition, and civil society ensuring the strategy of political development and societal support for the Libyan national constitutional path, and the role of youth and women in building social peace.

Italian Foreign Minister: Stopping waves of immigration to our country is linked to improving conditions in Libya and Tunisia.

Rome, The Italian Foreign Minister, “Antonio Tajani,” said that the cessation of waves of migration to his country across the Mediterranean is linked to the improvement of conditions in Libya and Tunisia.

Tajani said, in statements published by the Italian news agency AKI, that stopping migration flows does not only include preventing the departure of boats, but also helping countries that suffer massive crises, especially Tunisia, which may turn into a powder keg because of the financial crisis, as well as achieving security and stability in Libya. .
