Minister of Finance reviews with OPEC Secretary General, Ministry’s plans to support Libyan oil sector

Minister of Finance of the National Unity Government, Khaled Al-Mabrouk, received, Thursday , the Secretary-General of OPEC, Haitham Al-Ghais, and his accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting Libya.

The meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, discussed mechanisms to support the Libyan oil and gas sector in a manner consistent with the rapid development in the fields of investment in the oil and gas sector and alternative energies.

The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance in Tripoli, reviewed the strategies adopted by the ministry and the plans it adopts in order to accelerate the pace of this development and overcome the challenges facing the sector.

Minister of Housing and Construction reviews with works officials the implementation of road projects.

The Minister of Housing and Construction, Abu Bakr Al-Ghaw, discussed yesterday, the implementation of the projects by the Tripoli Public Works Company, the obstacles facing its work, and ways to solve them.

The meeting also discussed the presentation of the Al-Amrous Road project in the municipality of Souk Al-Jumaa, which was submitted by the Tripoli Public Works Company in partnership with the Tunisian Public Works Company, and addressing the administrative obstacles facing work.

Al-Dabaiba is following up on the strategic projects contracted in the 2022 Action Plan.

The head of the government of national unity, “Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba,” stressed the need to set timetables for completing projects and starting them in all regions and municipalities after completing their contractual and technical procedures.

This came during his meeting today with the directors of the bodies implementing housing and utilities projects, “Mahmoud Ajaj,” the implementation of transportation projects, “Sami Al-Abash,” and the development of administrative centers, “Ibrahim Takita,” in the presence of the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and the advisor to the Central Governor, to follow up on the launch of the strategic projects contracted in the action plan. 2022.

For his part, “Ajaj” confirmed that the implementation of the C-Ring Road will take (12) months, and the work will start after completing the preparation, which will last for 45 days.

In his turn, Sami Al-Abash, Director of the Transportation Projects Implementation Agency, said that the projects for the expansion and maintenance of the (Ubari-Ghat) and (Ajdabiya-Jallo) roads will start after completing the preparation works, and the implementation period will be 14 months.

For his part, the director of the Agency for the Development of Administrative Centers, “Ibrahim Takita,” indicated that the technical specifications and typical prices for the new schools have been completed according to (4) models, and coordination with the Audit Bureau to start implementation, stressing that work on this project took time to verify the locations. The target, and the approval of the designs, provided that the first phase aims to establish (500) new schools.
