Final results of municipal council elections for municipality of Al-Urban announced

Tripoli- The Central Committee for Local Elections has announced the final results of the election of the Municipal Council of Al-Urban municipality.

The committee said that this announcement came after the end of the official working hours for that day, and no electoral appeal was filed regarding it.

In its announcement, the Central Committee extended its thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the elections and ensured the implementation of the electoral process within the municipality of Al-Urban.

The Stabilization Support Agency announces the recovery of the artifact (Lupus Capitolina) in the Al-Asabaa area

Tripoli- The Stabilization Support Agency announced the recovery of the artifact “The Lupus Capitolina” in a raid by its members on the place located in the Al-Asabaa area.

The agency confirmed in a statement that the process of retrieving the artifact took place with the participation of members of the Bureau of Investigation -The western branch of the Stabilization Support Agency, under the supervision of the Attorney General’s Office, the Director of the North Tripoli Prosecution Office, the Director of the Gharyan Prosecution Office, and the Director of the Partial Asabaa Prosecution Office, with direct follow-up from the Agency’s Affairs Office.

The agency said that the rugged geographical terrain of the area enabled the accused of stealing it to escape, as all necessary legal measures were taken and the seized piece was referred to the Public Prosecution for disposal.

The “Lupus Capitolina”, which is the emblem of the Italian capital, Rome, symbolizes the legend that claims that she breastfed the twins Romulus and Remus, who founded Rome in 753 BC.

The statue of the werewolf was present on one of the two obelisks in front of the Saraya al-Hamra Museum in the capital, Tripoli, which was removed from the obelisk in 1963 and placed in the museum before it was stolen.
