Al-Manqoush discusses the logistical and organizational preparations to host the Arab Foreign Ministers Conference in Tripoli

Tripoli- Today, Tuesday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity, “Najla Al-Manqoush,” discussed with the directors of the political departments in the ministry, the logistical and organizational equipment; to hold the consultative meeting of the foreign ministers of Arab countries in the capital, Tripoli, in the near future.

According to what was published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting dealt with the progress of the work plan set for the year 2023, follow-up on the affairs of the ministry and its performance, ways to develop work in it, and concern for the interests and rights of its employees.

The ministry said that “Al-Manqoosh” instructed the directors of departments and officials of the ministry to harness all capabilities; to overcome all the difficulties facing their workflow and develop their performance in line with the strategic plans and promote the public interest.

Al-Nuwairi reviews with the ambassadors of Germany and Britain the latest political developments in Libya

Tripoli– First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Fawzi Al-Nuwairi, reviewed today, Tuesday, with the German Ambassador, Michael Unmacht, and the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall, in two separate meetings, the latest political developments in Libya, the most important outstanding issues, and ways to address them.

The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Parliament’s Diwan branch in Tripoli, discussed the role of the international community within the framework of its responsibilities towards Libya, according to what was stated by the official spokesman for the parliament, “Abdullah Blehaq”.

These meetings come within the framework of following up on political developments and consultations regarding all issues related to Libyan affairs in light of the international role.

High Council of State holds a meeting with gathering of political parties

Tripoli- The First Vice President of the High Council of State, Naji Mukhtar, accompanied by a number of members of the Council, held a meeting with the parties’ gathering at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli.

The media office of the High Council of State did not mention any details regarding the meeting, except that it comes within the framework of communication with the political base of the parties and active personalities.

Italian Foreign Minister: We are working with the Libyan authorities to address the phenomenon of irregular migration

Rome, January 10, 2023 (LANA) – Italian Foreign Minister “Antonio Tajani” affirmed that his country is working with the Libyan and Tunisian authorities to confront the phenomenon of illegal immigration.

“Tackling the issue of irregular migration must be on several fronts, but the main solution must be found at the European level,” the Italian news agency Nova quoted Tajani as saying.

Tajani called for working to solve this problem with the source countries. Stressing at the same time the need for greater unity among the European Union countries to confront and combat the phenomenon of irregular migration.

Medical staff from North Korea, including 38 doctors and nurses, returns to work at Kufra Hospital

Kufra, January 10, 2023 (LANA) – A medical staff from North Korea arrived in the city of Kufra today, Tuesday, consisting of 38 medical and paramedical personnel.

Al-Kufra Teaching Hospital said that the medical staff that arrived at the hospital numbered 26 male and female doctors in the specialties of general surgery, anesthesia, gynecology, childbirth, nose, ear, throat, children, heart, arteries, bones, abdomen, mouth, teeth and physiotherapy, in addition to 12 male and female nurses.

It is noteworthy that the Korean medical staff who were working in Kufra left the country in the summer of 2015 as a result of the poor security situation in the region.

Medicines control denies the entry of any adulterated medicinal items through the legitimate state outlets

Tripoli, January 10, 2023 (LANA) – The head of the Quality Control Department of the Drug Control of the Food and Drug Control Center, “Abdul Moneim Qabbasa,” denied what was circulated by some social media pages about the presence of adulterated imported medicines that do not meet the required specifications.

“Qabbasa” said in a video clip published by the center’s official page that all releases from the Control Center for Pharmaceutical Products are subject to laboratory analyzes and are not released until after confirming the validity of their use.

The head of the Quality Control Department at the Drug Control Department confirmed that the center did not record the entry of any adulterated or non-compliant item through the legal channels of the state.
