Shakshak discusses with the President of the Tunisian Court of Accounts the promotion of joint cooperation in the field of oversight work

Tripoli- The President of the Audit Bureau, “Khaled Shakshak”, discussed today, Thursday, with the President of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Tunisia, “Najeeb Al-Katari”, the possibility of benefiting from the competencies of the two agencies in the areas of oversight work.

The meeting, which was held at the court’s headquarters in the capital, Tunis, dealt with the participation of the two bodies in research projects and oversight activities that include providing consultations, holding seminars and conferences on contemporary professional topics, and supporting technical teams and Libyan audit committees in the Tunisian arena with consultations, information and necessary work guides, which would Increasing the effectiveness of the oversight functions of the Libyan institutions in the State of Tunisia.

According to what was published by the State Audit Bureau on its official Facebook page, the two presidents agreed to prepare a joint memorandum of understanding between the two agencies, including what was discussed during the meeting.

Shakshak appreciated the role of the Tunisian Court of Accounts and its contribution in many areas related to oversight work within the framework of its membership in the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the General Administration of Control over the Sovereign Sector, the Director of the General Administration of Control of the Service Sector, the Director of the General Administration of Contract Control, and a number of officials at the Tunisian Court of Accounts.

(Al-Dabaiba) pledges to pay off debts to Tunisia worth $250 million before the end of the year

Tunisia- The head of the national unity government, Abdul Hamid al-Dabiba, pledged to pay the debts owed by the Libyan state to Tunisia, amounting to 250 million dollars.

In a meeting with the Tunisian Federation of Industry and Trade, on the sidelines of his government’s visit to Tunisia, today, Thursday, Al-Dabaiba said that we seek to have our relationship with our brothers in Tunisia based on integration between the two countries.

He added that his government will pay the debts owed by the Libyan state to Tunisia, amounting to 250 million dollars, before the end of this year, including 85 million dollars for the electricity sector, 30 million dollars for the civil aviation sector, and 85 million dollars for Tunisian clinics.

Al-Dabaiba stressed that the national unity government seeks to resolve some complications in the work of the two governments and facilitate the movement of businessmen in the two countries in a way that serves the common interest of the two brotherly peoples.

The head of the national unity government, accompanied by a large ministerial delegation, visited Tunisia, during which he met with Tunisian President Kais Saied and Prime Minister Naglaa Bouthen.

During this visit, Libya and Tunisia signed a number of joint cooperation agreements in the health, economic, security, transportation, housing and construction fields.
