On instructions of Head of the Government of National Unity: shipment of fuel from Libya estimated at (30) million tons delivered to Tunisian ports

Tripoli, -The official spokesman of the Government of National Unity, Mohamed Hammouda, announced arrival of an oil shipment from Libya estimated at (30) million tons of fuel on Tuesday to Tunisian ports.

Hamouda said in a press conference on Wednesday evening, the shipment, which arrived in Tunisia, came after the Head of the Government of National Unity instructed the National Oil Corporation to complete the shipment and coordinate with the Tunisian side to receive it.

He explained that this shipment of fuel provided to Tunisia comes within the framework of the support offered by the government headed by Abdul Hamid Al Dabaiba” to the neighboring country.

According to what was stated by the official spokesman of the Council, “Abdullah Blihaq,” during the meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the House of Representatives branch in the capital, Tripoli, the two sides discussed efforts to invest in all circumstances in order to reach a settlement that leads to holding presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible to achieve the will of the Libyan people.

The US envoy expresses his country’s support for the efforts made for the departure of mercenaries and foreign fighters from Libya

Tripoli- The US envoy to Libya, “Richard Norland, expressed the United States’ support for efforts to secure the departure of mercenaries and foreign fighters as well as all foreign forces from Libya,

Norland said in a tweet on Twitter after his meeting today, Wednesday, with the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Al-Haddad, “I warned against entrenching their feet in Libya.”

“We discussed the promising efforts to form a joint unit as a first step towards reunification of the Libyan military forces,” he added.

Tripoli – The US envoy and ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, stressed the importance of reaching a consensus between the House of Representatives and the state on a constitutional basis and moving quickly to elections.

This came during his meeting today, Wednesday, with the President of the High Council of State, “Khaled Al-Mishri”, in the presence of the US Chargé d’Affairs, “Leslie Ordman,” according to a tweet published by the US Embassy on its Twitter account.

Norland said, “I share with the Libyans their frustration over the lack of progress in the movement towards elections, especially with the approach of the first anniversary of the postponement of the elections.”

Tripoli- The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, “Al-Siddiq Al-Kabeer” confirmed today, Wednesday, that the complex crises that Libya has experienced made the Central Bank work hard to ensure financial stability and maintain the financial sustainability of the state.

This came in his speech before the Libyan-British Businessmen Council, which is visiting, and it represents the council’s first visit to Libya after an absence of nearly five years.

Al-Kabeer referred to the efforts of the Central Bank of Libya in developing efforts to achieve the highest levels of transparency and disclosure, stimulating capabilities, qualifying human cadres, upgrading electronic payment methods, supporting practical steps to move the wheel of the economy, activating the role of the private sector, launching development projects and supporting projects.
