Al-Mangoush presides over the 158th ordinary session of the ministerial Council of the League of Arab States

Cairo- Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Najla Al-Mangoush, President of the 158th ordinary session of the Ministerial Council of the League of Arab States chaired the council meeting held on Tuesday afternoon at the headquarters of the Arab League in the Egyptian capital Cairo, where the State of Libya takes over as Chairman of the 158th session of the Ministerial Council from the Republic of Lebanon for the next six months.

The meetings of this session discuss the main items on the agenda and decisions of the Ministerial Council, which began with the item of supporting and promoting the process of joint Arab action in various political, economic and social fields, and the other items related to current Arab, regional and international developments. They also discussed mechanisms for developing various areas of cooperation between the Arab world and friendly countries and other international organizations.

Al Mangoush at meeting of Council of the Arab League: With national will and the support of our Arab brothers, we will be able to hold elections

Cairo- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, Najla Al-Mangoush, stressed that the position of the Government of National Unity rejecting the return of war entails a historic responsibility that the Libyan issue is not just an item on the agenda of the Council of the Arab League and in other international forums.

During her chairmanship of the current session of the Council of the Arab League, Al-Mangoush said that with the tireless work and national will and with the support of our Arab brothers, we will be able to hold national elections in accordance with just and fair laws and create the appropriate conditions for holding them in all Libyan regions, and achieve the will of more than 2 Libyan people who received the cards to participate in the elections late last year.

Al-Mangoush conveyed the call of the Government of National Unity to the legislative authority to fulfill its legislative commitment and complete the constitutional rule and laws governing it, to conduct the elections, and affirmed continued readiness to implement the elections through the provision of logistical and security services, including its support to the High National Election Commission.

“The stability of Libya is a regional and international interest and commitment to the security of Libya’s neighbors is a principled obligation, and that the threat of terrorism and its return to target the safe and innocent and the interests of our countries has not disappeared and combating it is a responsibility of solidarity between all of us and our international partners, Al Mangoush said.

She pointed out that Libya, which has suffered from the scourge of terrorism and its dangers, will focus its efforts today on strengthening the capabilities of border guards and security agencies and develop the capabilities of our security institutions in a way that enhances our internal and external security in the face of terrorism and controls all the country’s ports and crossings.

The Foreign Minister called for reactivating the Quartet on Libya, so that the League of Arab States can work with the United Nations, the African Union and the European Union and coordinate regional and UN efforts to implement the commitments of all parties to the decisions of the Political Dialogue Forum sponsored by the United Nations and the Berlin 1-2 Conferences.

Al Mangoush also called for the next consultative meeting at the level of Arab Foreign Ministers to be held in Tripoli, which was previously held almost a year before hosting an international conference to support Libya’s stability, and is now more determined to restore Libya’s role in supporting stability and peace in the region and its African and European surroundings.

During her speech, Al-Mangoush touched on a number of Arab issues on the agenda of the session, including the central issue “Palestine” and the practices it is subjected to which are aimed at Judaizing Jerusalem and expanding settlement projects, as well as the Yemeni crisis, the conflict in Syria and the situation in Lebanon.

Najla Al-Manqoush discusses with her Omani counterpart ways to promote common interests

Tripoli- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, “Najla Al-Manqous”, met her Omani counterpart, “Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al-Busaidi” on the sidelines of the 158th session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, which is being held At the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Cairo, headed by the State of Libya.

The meeting dealt with the latest developments in the Arab region and exchanged views on various issues to promote common interests to support the process of joint Arab action.

They also discussed bilateral relations that bind the two brotherly countries and peoples and ways to develop and strengthen them.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Naglaa Al-Manqoush, is the first “woman” to chair the League’s Ministerial Council of the League of Arab States in Cairo.

Acting Minister of Health inaugurates Zawiya Dahmani polyclinic in Tripoli

Tripoli- Deputy Prime and acting Minister of Health , Ramadan Abu Janah, inaugurated Tuesday the Zawiya Al-Dahmani Polyclinic in Tripoli, after the end of maintenance and restoration work and its being out of service for more than thirteen years.

The polyclinic is equipped according to the latest specifications, and includes an operation unit and outpatient clinics in the specialties of dermatology, internal medicine, children, ophthalmology, women, dentistry, ENT and general surgery.

Zawiya Al Dahmani polyclinics will provide CT SCAN services. It was also equipped with a psychiatric clinic, a physiotherapy department, an x-ray machine to detect breast cancer, a laboratory and a pharmacy.
