Al-Manfi and Al-Mashri agree to support the constitutional process for holding the elections

Tripoli- The President of the Presidential Council, “Mohamed Al-Manfi” and the President of the Supreme Council of State, “Khaled Al-Mashri,” agreed to support the constitutional process to reach a final solution to the political crisis and to hold parliamentary and presidential elections on correct constitutional and legal foundations.

This came during their meeting today, Monday in the capital, Tripoli, and dealt with the latest political files in the country, and ways to overcome the current crisis and get the country out of the transitional stages to reach permanent stability, in addition to the latest findings of the committees of the Supreme Council of State and the House of Representatives in Cairo, regarding the constitutional path.

During the meeting, Al-Manfi and Al-Mashri stressed the continuation of support for the political process and work to unify it, to restore stability to the country, and to support the constitutional path to reach a final solution to the political crisis and to hold parliamentary and presidential elections on correct constitutional and legal foundations.

Libyan – Tunisian agreement to increase the number of flights from 3 Libyan airports to Tunisia

Tripoli- The Ministry of Transportation of the Government of National Unity announced today, Monday, an agreement to increase the number of flights to Tunisia from 3 Libyan airports.

This came during a meeting between the Minister of Communications, Mohamed Salem Al-Shoubi, and the Tunisian ambassador accredited to Libya, Al-Assaad Al-Ajili, at the Ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of Air Transport Undersecretary Khaled Nasr Souissi, the Dean of Gharyan Municipality and the Director of the Technical Cooperation Office.

The Ministry of Transportation said in a statement that it was agreed to increase the number of flights between Misurata Airport – Tunisia, Sebha Airport – Tunisia, and Al-Abraq Airport – Tunisia.

They also discussed ways to intensify airport security coordination committees by organizing a number of technical meetings between the security services between the two countries, to assess airports and speed up the return of flights between the two countries.

The meeting discussed a number of issues related to organizing the movement of ports and border crossings between the two countries and the land port of Ras Jedir in particular, where another alternative port was proposed for the movement of trucks to ease traffic jams for travelers, inaugurate a maritime line and return air traffic to Tunisian Airlines.

The decision to prevent the European Union from entering Libyan airspace, or using European airports, and seeking technical advice for the return of European planes to Libyan airspace was also discussed.

HNEC Organizes Next Thursday a Celebration of the 5th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Women’s Support Unit

Tripoli-The High National Election Commission HNEC organizes on next Thursday a celebration on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the Women’s Support Unit in the commission.

The commission invites all media and correspondents to attend and participate in the celebration ,which will be held at the commission’s headquarters in Sidi El-Masri ,Tripoli on Thursday May 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.

Guterres calls on the Libyans to resume the electoral process as soon as possible

New York- United Nations Secretary-General “Antonio Guterres” called on Libyan officials to resume the electoral process that was halted in December, and “today has become a political necessity more than ever.”

In a report he submitted recently to the UN Security Council, Guterres said, “It is the responsibility of Libyan institutions and political officials to resume the electoral process as soon as possible, in the interest of more than 2.8 million registered Libyan voters who were looking forward to voting in December 2021,” stressing that Libyans They must “unequivocally commit to holding free, fair, inclusive and credible presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible based on an agreed constitutional and legal framework.”

In his report, extracts from which were reported by the French Press Agency today, Guterres considered that the truce approved in October 2020 is holding, but called on “all parties to refrain from any unilateral practices that would exacerbate existing divisions, launch disputes and threaten progress.” The big one that was achieved with difficulty in the past two years is towards stability and unification of ranks.”

On the economic front, Guterres called on the Libyans to “avoid practices that cause disruptions in the field of oil production” that affect the living conditions of all Libyans, and to ensure that the salaries of government employees are paid “on time and in a fair manner throughout the country.”

Misurata port receives 27.500 tons of wheat imported from Russia

Misurata -Misurata port received 27.500 tons of wheat imported from Russia ,where two ships carrying grain and various goods ,docked in Al-Maktaf area in the free zone of Misurata.

The free zone stated that the ship “Dynamic M” laden with 27.500 tons of wheat coming from Russia ,started unloading its cargo ,in addition to “Kosovak” belonging to the shipping agent “Daleel company” ,with 267 containers of various goods and commodities coming from Turkey .

Another ship belonging to Al-Shimma shipping agent also arrived with 30.000 tons of soybeans coming from Argentina.
