Tunisian President Praises Presidential Council’s efforts to stabilize Libya.

Brussels-President of the Presidential Council Mohamed Al Mnefi highlighted historical relations linking Libya and Tunisia and commended Tunisian support of the Libyan people over the past years.

This came during a meeting Al Mnefi held with Tunisian President Qais Saeid on the sidelines of the sixth African-European summit in Brussels, Belgium, to discuss and review the outcome of the summit and confirm the depth of the historical relations between the two brotherly countries.

For his part, the Tunisian President praised “the efforts of the Presidential Council to stabilize Libya, through the national reconciliation project, which paves the way for fair elections that will satisfy all parties.

The two sides stressed importance of upgrading trade activity between the two countries, and that the need to preserve and secure the border between the two countries, considering the stability and security of Libya, is a stability of Tunisia’s.

Speaker of the House of Representatives arrives in Cairo to participate in the fourth conference of the Pan-Arab Parliament.

Cairo-Speaker of the House of Representatives Ageela Saleh arrived in Cairo on Friday to participate in the fourth conference of the Pan-Arab Parliament to be held Saturday at the Headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.

The speaker of the House of Representatives was greeted by the speaker of the Pan-Arab parliament, Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Assumi, a spokesman for the parliament said.

A delegation from the House of Representatives participated in the 32nd Conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union, which began on Thursday in Cairo, Egypt.

Pashaga congratulates Libyans on February 17 Revolution, stresses importance of national reconciliation.

Tripoli-The Prime Minister designate Fathi Pashagha, congratulated Libyans on the 11th anniversary of the February 17th revolution.

Pashaga said in a televised speech, Thursday evening, that the February 17 revolution was the result of the accumulations of injustice, marginalization, tyranny and unilateralism. Libyan citizens, he said suffered from low quality of life, and interruption of the wheel of development for decades.

Pashagha called on Libyans to invoke reason and build a national state, which is based on respect for the rights of citizenship, justice and fairness, to all citizens without exception, and to break with all political orientations and opinions.

He called on Libyans to benefit from their bitter experience and cater the sacrifices of the wounded and martyrs through national reconciliation and the building of a strong civil state.

Mnifi and Sisi discuss in Brussels the latest developments in the political situation in Libya.

Brussels- The President of the Presidential Council, “Mohamed Al-Mnifi” met Thursday evening with the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, “Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi” to discuss the latest developments of the political situation in Libya, on the sidelines of the Sixth African-European Summit in Brussels.

In the meeting, the importance of achieving security and stability in Libya was emphasized, which would reflect positively on Egypt’s stability and security.

The meeting also discussed the continuation of joint work to strengthen cooperation relations in the interest of the two brotherly countries in various fields.

During this meeting, al-Mnifi praised the role of the Arab Republic of Egypt in restoring stability in Libya through its communication with all political parties, to bring views closer to achieve electoral maturity.

For his part, President El-Sisi affirmed his country’s continued support for the political track, unification of institutions, and support for the national reconciliation project to achieve stability in Libya, and to continue consultation with the Presidential Council to achieve it, and to ensure free and fair elections that achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people.

Bahrain supports all efforts to establish stability and unity of Libya.

Manama- The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its support for all efforts aimed at supporting the stability and unity of the brotherly State of Libya, in order to achieve security, peace and development, calling on all parties to give priority to the public interest and to sit at the dialogue table in order to reach a consensus to set a date for holding the presidential and parliamentary elections simultaneously, within the constitutional and legal frameworks.

The ministry stressed – according to what was reported by the Bahrain News Agency on Thursday – the importance of the pivotal role played by the Libyan House of Representatives as the popularly elected Libyan institution, and its full confidence in the ability of all parties and active forces in Libya to overcome this stage and achieve the aspirations of the brotherly Libyan people for security, stability and prosperity.
