Vice President of Presidential Council praises Austrian support of stability of Libya.

Tripoli, The Vice-President of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, received on Thursday the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Libya, Christoph Meinburt, and the Director General of the Austrian Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies, the National Director of the Center’s project in Libya, Mr. Morris Morhan”.

The meeting, which was held at the Council’s Office, focused on cooperation between Libya and Austria in many fields, and ways of upgrading exchange, to serve the interests of the two friendly countries.

The Ambassador and director of the center reviewed projects in Libya which included conducting research and studies, workshops and seminars, with the aim of developing capacities, and the center’s support for the national reconciliation project launched by the Presidential Council.

The Vice-President of the Presidential Council praised the position of the Republic of Austria in support of the stability of Libya, and its efforts towards peace and prosperity in the country, namely its call for free and fair elections, so that the Libyan people can enjoy the resources of their country.

The Election Commission extends working hours of voter card distribution centers due to increased turnout.

Tripoli, The High National Election Commission has announced the extension of the daily working hours of voter card distribution centers, due to increasing turnout of voters to get their cards, and to enable all voters to receive their cards in the best conditions.

The Commission explained in an announcement, a copy of which was obtained by the Libyan News Agency, that the working hours of voter card distribution centers will be from 12:00 to 18:00, while on Saturday, November 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Al-Manqoush discusses with Bahraini Foreign Minister relations between the two countries.

Manama, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Najla Al Manqoush arrived in Manama on Friday at the head of a delegation on a working visit to Bahrain.

Ministry sources said Al-Manqoush” met the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, on the occasion of her participation in the work of the seventeenth session of the Manama Dialogue Conference.

The sources added that the meeting focused on the strong brotherly relations between the State of Libya and the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the growth they are witnessing in light of the mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and joint coordination, and the aspiration of the two brotherly countries to upgrade exchange between the two countries for mutual benefits.

The two sides also discussed developments in Libya, and the efforts being made to achieve security and stability in the country.
