Prime Minister stresses shortage and theft of fuel in southern region.

Tripoli, During his visit to the headquarters of the Brega Oil Marketing Company in Tripoli, Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, is addressing the contiuning problem of fuel availability in the southern region.

Government sources stated that Al-Dabaiba held an expanded meeting with the company, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ramadan Bujanah, Minister of Interior Khaled Mazen and the Undersecretary for Directorates Affairs and security directors in the southern region, as well as directors of departments in Brega Company and managers of distribution companies (Libya Oil – Waha Al-Sharara). The Prime Minister stressed that fuel shoratgess, theft and the continued suffering of the citizen must end, and to find practical solutions to this problem during this meeting.

The head of the government stressed the need to increase the quantities allocated by the Brega Company for the benefit of the warehouse in the region, to secure them and ensure their distribution. For his part, the director of the Brega Oil Marketing Company explained the measures that the company will take by increasing the quantities and activating the Sabha warehouse to its maximum capacity, stressing the availability of the required quantities of fuel.

In statment during the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Abu Janah stressed that the problem of fuel availability witnessed a relative breakthrough in the region, but the problem must be fully addressed so that citizens in the southern region enjoy part of their rights.

At the conclusion of the meeting, number of measures and procedures were taken, including increasing the quantities allocated to the southern region to reach one million liters per day instead of 500 thousand liters per day, provided that within a month from the date of this meeting, the Sabha warehouse will be filled to its full capacity, which amounts to 27 million liters. During the meeting, the joint force formed from the battalions 166 and Tariq bin Ziyad was assigned to secure the arrival of fuel and follow up the distribution in coordination with the security directorates.

HNEC announces referring first list of presidential candidates to competent authorities.

Tripoli, The High National Elections Commission referred the data of (10) presidential candidates to the competent authorities to verify their candidacy applications.

The Commission announced that it had started the procedures for referring (the first list) of the requests of citizens applying to run for the election of the head of state, which contained the data of (10) candidates, to the Attorney General, the Criminal Investigation Agency, and the General Administration of Passports and Nationality.

Dbeiba submits his financial disclosure statement for himself and his family members.

Tripoli, The head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba has expressed his support for the National Anti-Corruption authority, stressing the need to overcome all the difficulties faced by the authority in order to do its work to the fullest in accordance with the available resources.

According to the official page of the National Anti-Corruption authority, this came during a reception the head of the authority “Noman Al-Sheikh” accorded to the Prime Minister at its headquarters in the capital Tripoli.

The meeting focused on some of the files and issues, as well as reviewing the obstacles facing the work of the authority. At the end of the meeting, the Prime Minister filled in and submitted his financial disclosure statement for himself and his family members.

The Audit Bureau participates in the meetings of the Council of External Auditors of the African Union.

Tripoli, The Acting President of the Audit Bureau, “Alaa El-Din Mansour El-Msallaty,” participated today, Thursday, in a meeting via zoom technology, the meeting of the Board of External Auditors of the African Union.

The meeting discussed discussing and approving the work plan for the audit of the African Union for the fiscal year ending on 31/12/2021, which was submitted by the Audit Operations Committee.

The Acting President of the SAI gave a speech in which he praised the efforts made by the Chairman and members of the Council as well as the Executive Secretary of the Council in organizing and managing this meeting, according to what was published by the official page of the SAI.

He also commended the efforts of the Audit Operations Committee through the plan that was presented to the Board, wishing the Audit Operations Committee success in the task assigned to it.

The participation of the Libyan Audit Bureau comes within the framework of its membership in the Council of External Auditors of the African Union, which consists of heads of supreme audit institutions.

Ministry of Education is following up, final arrangements for new school year.

Tripoli, The Ministry of Education, followed up the Ministry’s arrangements and the Education Monitors for the new school year 2021-2022.
