The High National Election Commission announces that total number of candidates to the House of Representatives in all constituencies has reached 721.

TRIPOLI, The High National Election Commission has published the daily and cumulative report on the registration of candidates.

According to the report, the total number of candidates to the House of Representatives in all constituencies has so far reached 721, according to statistics released on Monday November 15th.

HNEC begins Vetting procedures for candidates to HoR elections.

Tripoli, The High National Elections Commission transmitted, Tuesday, the statements of (702) candidates for the elections to the House of Representatives to the competent authorities regarding their candidacy applications within the commission’s arrangements for the upcoming elections.

HNEC has started the procedures of referring (the first list comprising 702 candidates) for the elections of the House of Representatives, to the Attorney General, the Criminal Investigation Agency, and the General Administration of Passports and Nationality, in accordance with Law No. (2) For the year 2021 regarding the election of the House of Representatives and its amendments, which requires candidacy in Article (6):

The procedure comes within the framework of the Commission’s keenness to implement the law and to ensure that the conditions for candidacy are met in the submitted applications, for transparency of the electoral process procedures.

Ministry of Education is organizing a workshop on people with special needs.

Tripoli, The Ministry of Education organized, Tuesday, in Tripoli, the second workshop to take care of people with special needs within the (My Right) initiative in cooperation with Al-Madar Al-Jadeed Company.

The workshop, which was attended by the Minister of Education, Musa Al-Maqrif, targets the directors of education offices and the integration of special categories of education observers as part of the ministry’s efforts and plan to launch the new school year 2021-2022.

The workshop deals with ways to support special educational programmes by means appropriate to the capabilities of this category, and their physical and mental needs, and to work to enable people of determination to participate positively and effectively in society, assisting this category of people with learning difficulties, the category of people with sensory disabilities (deaf – hard of hearing – blind – visually impaired), people with motor disabilities, and children with autism.
