Sanalla is discussing with the United Nations Development Program the implementation of future projects targeting the areas adjacent to the oil operations.

Tripoli, The President of the National Oil Corporation, “Mustafa Sanalla,” met with the representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to discuss enhancing future cooperation opportunities and establishing a partnership agreement between the Corporation and the Program.

The meeting, which was attended by the Director of the Sustainable Development Department at the Corporation, “Mukhtar Abdel-Daim”, discussed the implementation of future programs and projects targeting areas adjacent to oil operations and the expansion of clean renewable energies programs.

During the meeting, Sanalla indicated that the National Oil Corporation, under the umbrella of sustainable development, and through its partner Repsol, Total, OMV and Akinur, succeeded in establishing a successful partnership with the United Nations Program during the past years.

“Sanallah” explained that the United Nations programs in Libya, being the largest funder, have implemented many programs and projects in a number of municipalities, including “Ubari, Rajban, Zintan, Jado and Zawiya,” stressing his readiness to discuss any future opportunities for cooperation with the program through what was signed. From agreements with the corporation’s partners from foreign oil companies such as “Total” and “Wintershall” concerning sustainable development and corporate social responsibility.

The meeting discussed the efforts undertaken by the Corporation and its companies, in cooperation with foreign partners, with regard to mitigating emissions, exploiting flared gas, and in harmony with sustainable development goals and international climate-related agreements.

The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government (Abdul Hamid Dbaiba) calls on the Presidency of the House of Representatives to set a session to question the members of the government who were absent from today’s session.

Tobruk, During today’s government accountability session in Tobruk, the head of the National Unity Government, Abdel Hamid Dbaiba, called on the presidency of the Council to set a session to question the members of the government who were absent from today’s session.

In response to some of the questions received from the deputies, Dbaiba indicated that successive governments left debts amounting to 70 billion dinars.

On the issue of the National Oil Corporation, Dbaiba stressed that there is no objection to moving its headquarters to Benghazi, but this needs some time.

With regard to the salaries of some employees, especially the late ones, the Minister of Finance explained that the ministry, after the reviews, found many duplications for a number of employees.

The Minister of Health thanked Egypt for its assistance in providing some medical oxygen needs to confront the Corona epidemic.
