The sources told the Libyan News Agency Al Koni had undergone Thursday evening a cardiac catheterization, in a clinic in the capital Tripoli to treat the heart attack that he suffered.

A medical source from the Al Khalil clinic where the operation was performed told the Libyan News Agency that the health condition of Al Koni is stable, and that he is gradually recovering, denying all rumors about his deteriorating health condition or that he is in critical condition.

Al-Koni suffered a health problems on Thursday evening after returning from Tunisia, where he participated in the border cooperation conference between Libya and the Sahel countries, which concluded on Wednesday.
