The Nigerien President receives the presidential candidate “Abdul Majeed Saif Al-Nasr”

Niamey, Nigerien President, “Mohamed Abu Azum”, received, on Sunday, the candidate for the presidential elections and former Libyan ambassador to Morocco, “Abdel Majid Saif Al-Nasr.”

The media office of “Saif Al-Nasr” said that the meeting with the Nigerien president reviewed the course of joint relations between the two countries and the latest political developments in Libya.

The two sides discussed ways to push for presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible, in coordination with the African Union for its important role in settling the political situation and communicating with the actors at home and abroad.

During the meeting, the Nigerien President stressed the importance of intensifying efforts between the two countries to protect borders to maintain security and stability in the region, combat terrorism and organized crime in the Sahel and Sahara region, and open the door to economic activities, especially transit trade between Europe and Africa through Libyan territory.

Presidential candidate Abdel Majeed Saif Al-Nasr expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Nigerien President for his warm reception and hospitality, praising his support for Libya at all regional and international levels.
