The Italian Eni Company: The company’s branch in Libya was not affected by any damage during the years of the conflict.

Rome, The director of public relations for the Italian group Eni “Labo Pestelli” confirmed that the company’s branch in Libya had not been affected by any damage during the past ten years, attributing the reason for this to the strong connection with the population and local authorities in the country.

In his speech on the occasion of the opening of the tenth edition of the Conference on Shared Awareness and Conflict Resolution in the Mediterranean, organized by the Maritime Operation Irini, Pisteli said that the instability in Libya causes difficulties, which he described as simple, related to maintenance problems, hoping to raise the country’s gas production, which could reach three times.

He added that although the Mediterranean region represents 1% of the sea area in the world; But it affects 20% of trade, because the region enjoys a geopolitical position between Europe and Africa.

Pestelli pointed out that there is a wide scope for cooperation in Africa at this stage in which Europe is focusing on the energy transition, as he described it, noting the possibility of cooperation between the two shores of the Mediterranean.
