The Designated Minister of Interior and Chairman of the 5 + 5 Committee for the Western Region review the security arrangements to secure the coastal road between Misrata and Sirte

Tripoli- The Designated Minister of Interior, Imad Trabelsi, affirmed his full support for the work of the Military Committee (5 + 5) and his ministry’s commitment to providing all requirements to ensure the success of the process of securing the coastal road between Misrata and Sirte, which extends to a distance of more than 200 km.

This came during his meeting today, Tuesday, with the head of the 5 + 5 committee for the western region, Major General “Ahmed Abu Shahma”, and the director of the General Department of Security Operations and head of the Security Arrangements Committee for the Ministry of Interior, Major General “Ali Al-Nuwaisri”, according to what the ministry published on its official Facebook page. .

For his part, the “Abu Shahma” brigade expressed its thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by the Ministry of Interior through its cooperation with the 5 + 5 committee in implementing all security arrangements to the fullest.

The meeting, which was held at the Ministry’s office in Tripoli, reviewed the latest developments and security arrangements for securing the coastal road between Misrata and Sirte, in addition to discussing the provision of the requirements required for the success of the work.

The meeting also discussed ways to enhance security cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Interior and the military agencies to ensure security and impose security control along the coastal road.
