Pan-Arab Parliament: Delay of Elections Will Open Way for New Cycle of Violence in Libya.

Cairo, Pan-Arab Parliament has warned against non-conduct of elections on set time, which, it said, could endanger the stability of the region, and pave way to a new cycle of violence and conflict.

In a statement it issued yesterday, the Pan-Arab Parliament stressed importance of holding elections on set time, saying elections contribute to Libya’s sovereignty and national unity.

It appealed to all Libyan forces and institutions to put the homeland first, and the past conflict behind.

These elections are key to restoration of Libya’s unity, the Pan-Arab Parliament said, indicating that the international community and the UN are requested to provide the needed support for Libyans to fulfill this obligation.
