Najla Al-Mangoush requests protest note to Greek authorities to clarify the behavior of foreign minister

Tripoli, GNA Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Najla Al-Mangoush received today in her office the Ambassador of Libya to Greece, “Hamad Bashir Al-Mabrouk”, after summoning him for consultations.

According to the Foreign Ministry’s website, the meeting, which was attended by the director of the Department of European Affairs, Iman Taleb, focused on the behavior of the Greek foreign minister, who refused to disembark from his plane during his visit to Libya last Thursday, in contradiction with international diplomatic norms.

Minister Al-Mangoush asked the Libyan ambassador to Greece to submit a protest note to the Greek authorities to clarify the behavior of the Greek Foreign Minister, stressing that such ill-considered actions have serious repercussions on the security and stability of the State of Libya, and an indirect call to strengthen the state of division.
