In the presence of President of Presidential Council, a consultative meeting held in New York and attended by German Chancellor, President of the Republic of Senegal and the Chairperson of the African Union Commission.

   New York, In the presence of President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al Mnefi, a consultative meeting was held in New York on Tuesday, attended by German Chancellor Olaf Schultz, , President of the Republic of Senegal Macky Sall, in his capacity as Chairperson of the African Union and the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki.

In remarks at the meeting Al Mnefi commended Germany’s role in supporting the political track in Libya, on a number of occasions, especially the Berlin 1-2 conferences, and the joint cooperation between Germany and Africa, in order to contribute to supporting Libya’s stability and the success of the national reconciliation project in partnership with the African Union.

Al Mnefi touched on the challenges of food security in Africa, especially in light of the current international crisis and the importance of joint cooperation to overcome this crisis, as well as the role that Libya can play in many files, the most important of which are oil, energy and environment, and the creation of economic and investment opportunities that benefit the two continents, which contributes to stopping illegal migration and localizing sustainable development in Africa.
