In a match dominated by sportsmanship, Al-Dabaiba and Bashagha congratulate Al-Ahly Club for reaching the semi finals of the African Confederation

Tripoli– Abdel Hamid Al-Dabaiba, Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, and Fathi Bashagha, Prime Minister-designate of the House of Representatives, congratulated Al-Ahly Club after its victory over Al-Ittihad Club in the match that took place between the two teams yesterday at the Benina International Martyrs Stadium in Benghazi in the second leg of the African Confederation Cup quarter-finals.

Al-Dabaiba said in a tweet posted on his account after the meeting, “I congratulate the sports family in Al-Ahly Club and its fans for reaching the semi finals of the African Confederation, and I also salute the two teams for the sportsmanship that prevailed in the match, and better luck to Al-Ittihad in the rest of the sporting occasions.”

For his part, Bashagha, who attended the match, said in a tweet on his account on the Twitter network, “I was pleased to follow a large part of the Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad match from the Benina Martyrs Stadium. I touched upon the high spirit of sports among the brothers so that the sport remains inclusive for all Libyans,” adding, “I congratulate Al-Ahly Club for reaching the semi-finals of the African Confederation of Clubs Championship. I wish them to win the title. I salute Al Ittihad Club for their performance, and I wish them better luck in the upcoming matches.”
