Washington, Amnesty International has welcomed US Congress adoption of ‘Libya Stability’ law, to impose sanctions and deny visas to individuals and groups deemed threats to peace and human rights in Libya.

In a series of tweets Amnesty International said the decision comes following years of suffering endured by Libyans over years, as a result of armed conflict and multiple violations , describing the Congress decision and the timing as crucial for supporting human rights and reconstruction process in Libya.

It demanded that the Senate issue the corresponding laws of the decision as quickly as possible through Senator Lindsey Graham, according to the tweets.
