Abuja, -The 16th session of the Lake Chad Commission began in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, on Tuesday, in the presence of the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi and heads of state, Niger, Nigeria, Chad, Central African Republic and Cameroon.

The Presidential Council Communication Office said the session would focus on coordinating more efforts for security cooperation, monitoring common borders, combating terrorism, organized crime, in addition to food and water security.
