Al-Manqoush: The migration file drains the state’s resources, and addressing it requires regional and international cooperation.

Tripoli, Foreign Minister Najla Al-Manqoush said today, Saturday, that the illegal immigration file drains the Libyan state’s great security and economic resources, and requires serious international cooperation by humanitarian organizations and neighboring countries to curb this phenomenon and protect the human and health rights of migrants.

During an inspection visit to the migrant shelter center in Ain Zara in Tripoli, Al-Manqoush stressed that the national unity government pays special attention to this file, in a manner that guarantees respect for human rights and the preservation of the dignity of all migrants.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on its Facebook account that “Al-Manqush” listened during the visit to the demands of male and female migrants and their needs for health care and living.

Al-Manqoush also discussed with the head of the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency, Muhammad Al-Khouja, the most important challenges facing the work of the agency, the programs and mechanisms taken to mitigate the flow of migrants, and ways to care for those who are in shelter centers and take into account their humanitarian conditions, while ensuring respect for international human rights and laws Humanitarian and refugee law.
